Dexter's Lab Removed Scene · 12:06am May 16th, 2014

Hey Guys,
I cut this from my intro to the Dexter's Lab story. I figured some of you might like to read it while you wait on the next chapter. It occurs before he wakes up in Equestria, while he is still in his laboratory. THERE WILL BE TYPOS/ERRORS AS I HAVE NOT EVEN PROOF READ IT.

It was just an average Saturday for Dexter. At least as average as it can get for a boy with his own secret laboratory.

“Dee-Dee!!! Get out of my laboratory!!!”

Yep, average.

Dexter was a boy genius and science was his passion. Ever since he could hold a screw driver he had built his own secret underground laboratory, where he worked tirelessly to create new inventions and push the boundaries of science. He occasionally used his scientific prowess to battle evil or defend himself from his rival, but most of the time he worked reclusively.

Today he was working on his ‘greatest’ (or more accurately ‘latest’) invention, at least he was until the pink terror showed up.

The pink terror happened to be Dexter’s older sister , Dee Dee. She always wore the same pink ballerina outfit as she danced around his lab, legs swinging near priceless pieces of equipment and bottles of corrosive liquids. She loved her younger brother dearly and hated to see him waste his childhood inside a cold and sterile lab. This is why she endeavored, much to Dexter’s disdain, to pay him a visit every day.

“Dee-Dee!!! Get Out! Get Out! Get Out!” He yelled chasing after her, lashing a finger toward to exit. She had the bad habit of destroying his lab, always managing to kick over something important or to push the wrong button at the wrong time.

His relationship with his sister was a rather strange one. He loved her, though like most young boys he harbored an extreme dislike for anything girlish. And he hated how much of an air-head she was. Though he still loved her.

He loved her enough to rescue her from aliens . . . after he had set her up to be abducted.

Bad example.

He loved her enough to help her with her science fair project . . . which ended up hurtling the entire school into orbit.

Don’t ask.

“Oooo! What does this button do???” Dee Dee asked no one in particular as a red button caught her attention. It was shiny and big, as if begging to be pressed. She was about to push the over-sized button when a purple gloved hand slapped the offending finger away.

“How many times must I tell you, stupid girl, don’t push the buttons!” Dexter shouted, nearly losing his accent.

“Aww, but Dexter, I only want to know what it does.” She replied, cradling the hand he had slapped.

“What makes you think that your inferior intellect could possibly comprehend what any of my inventions do?” Dexter said, using all the might in his little body to push his sister toward the exit.

“Hey! Are you calling me dumb?” Dee-Dee replied with indignation.

“No Dee Dee,” Dexter sighed, rubbing his temple. “I’m just saying you’re one neuron short of a synapse.”

“Oookkaay?” Dee Dee replied, clearly confused by his response. She had no idea what he just said, a fact which Dexter was counting on to avoid a reproachful response.

“Now get out of my laboratory! It’s dangerous in here and you could get hurt . . . or worse, further delay my science!” Dexter said as he resumed pushing his sister. Managing to chuck Dee-Dee out of the laboratory, Dexter sealed the door to the lab.

As if it was that simple, Dee Dee always managed to find a way in no matter how many doors he locked.

“Okay, good. That should keep Dee Dee off my case and out of the lab for at least thirty minutes.” He proclaimed to no one in particular. “Now where was I? Oh yea, my trans-dimensional tunneling wormhole generator!” The boy genius crawled inside a large metal device, obviously incomplete due to a number of panels missing.

“Ah, My lab, science, and most importantly - no Dee Dee.” He said, as he started to connect various wires. “What could possible go wrong? I’m on the precipice creating my greatest invent-“ The ego stroking was cut off by the whine of capacitors charging.

“What the?” Dexter nearly shouted in surprise as he turned his head up toward the control panel. He could only see a pair of golden locks, obviously belonging to his older sisters, position just over the control panel. The sound of a button release soon followed.

Didn’t this happen to him the last time he was working in a teleporter?

“Dee Dee NOOOoooooooooooooooo-“ Dexter screamed as white light washed over him.
