    Letter of Destiny, advanced concept

Recently, a friend of mine became fascinated with my book series Maledictum Insania and read all of them through pretty quickly. He became particularly curious what my alternative storyline would have been if I had ended up choosing the ending Letter of Destiny from the first book as the base for the rest of the story. Eventually, he got me thinking about this series again which I considered done

    The end is coming

After about 7 years of writing, it is finally happening. The Maledictum Insania series is almost completed.
I am on the last few chapters of the final book. Very soon, this biggest story I have ever written will be concluded.
It is true what they say. You look towards the end of your major projects with both a laughing and a crying eye.

    Obsidian's Theme Songs

What is this? A new blog post! Oh my gosh! Jokes aside, I wasn't planning to make another blog post ever again. But perhaps there is still someone out there who enjoys reading this.

    Guess I finally managed it...

I noticed I am no longer getting comments and hardly any views on new chapters at all. I guess I finally managed to bore all my fans away due to my slow update speed. I am eternally sorry for this. My books never were all that successful to begin with and now I seem to have reached the point where I'm not even writing for anyone but my two pre-readers anymore.

MI Beta, Post 10 · 1:26pm May 15th, 2014

Hello again, my fans.
So sad season 4 is over and we have to wait so long for the next. But I hope the upcoming finale to the MI series will keep you entertained until then.
After this post, there are only two more beta concepts I can present and I think that will time just right with me getting the concept for MI3 finished.
Also, seeing how next to no one seems to pay attention to Cupcake Factory anymore, I think i can savely put that story on halt in favor of my main series. Maybe I get more interest for it again later.
So, here is this week's concept:

Three Conclusions for MI2
Seeing how great the choose-your-conclusion-thingy turned out in the first book, I of course toyed with the idea to repeat just that in the sequel. Originally, I wanted to let the reader choose which of the three princesses Twilight would end up executing. Depending wether you killed Celestia, Luna or Cadence, there would be a completely different outcome... at least so the theroy.

Why was this idea scrapped?
I never came up with good conclusions for all three outcomes. Of course, killing Celestia would instantly have caused the demons to win the war and resulted in a bad end. But I had no idea what to do in case Luna or Cadence were executed. Also, executing Celestia would have so obviously been the wrong choice that no one would even be tempted to suspect her as the cult leader.

The only good ending I ever came up with was the one which has been published. I somehow wanted something like this to come out, no matter which decision the reader made. But I just couldn't pull it off. So, I decided to give this story just one ending.

There you go, chaps. See you next time and don't forget to leave a comment.

Wow, that would had been an interesting idea. It would had been obvious like ya say that Celestia would had been the worse ending. :moustache:

If i had to choose, Luna would never be on my list of pick.

I thought you weren't planning to do another multiple ending choice since ya mention many of your readers didn't like it or something. :rainbowhuh:

If I had to be honest, I kinda gotten bored with Cupcake Factory, um~ just saying. :unsuresweetie:

Yeah as I said, I never came up with a way to make it so unclear who the cult leader is that you would suspect all three equally. Celestia had such a massive bad-ending-alarm sign above her head that I just found no way to make her look like she would be a logical choice for execution.
Also, for what I can remember, people loved the multi choice endings in MI1. These concepts are as the very title says beta concepts, some so early that they are litterally just the first initial thought and instantly scrapped again because they made no sense.
I myself would prefer to return to my main series, though I did have fun with Cupcake Factory so far. But black humor is not everyone's taste.
