Hello? Is this thing on?

Hi!

I'm DicePony (also known as FictionPony on DeviantArt but that's because DicePony was taken... drat and blast!).

My Bio gives you some background on me, but in general I'm a big fan of Adventure and Rarijack. The two don't have to be inclusive of each other, but that's the stuff I'm interested in.

Which is funny because I've almost finished this Adventure/Rarijack Fic that I'm hoping to upload...

So yeah, my first FanFiction. First.Ever. Is titled; "The Jewel of Reinsburg" and I'm going to be putting it up here and DA very soon.

The Jewel of Reinsburg (or Jewel, or JoR as I like to call it) is about 36,000 words of cheesy, adventurey, sappy, OTT'ness. It's inspired by movies like Romancing the Stone, The Castle of Cagliostro, etc and is very much a "turn off brain, eat popcorn" kind of fanfic.

I'm not a great writer, but this idea really struck me one morning and for the first time in... forever... I had a story I was so into, that was so formed in my head I just sat down and burned out 20,000 words (raw stuff of course) and couldn't leave it there. So I've been editing it over the last week and I think it's finally at a readable stage where (fingers crossed) people won't throw it in the garbage and chase me out of town!

Or at least I hope it is. I did the proofreading myself so the grammar is likely atrocious!

Anyway, enough of me rambling. Wanted to put something here so I don't look like a massive lurker noob!
