What is it about Lyra Heartstrings that makes her a joy to write about. I find myself sort of mixing Pinkie Pie and Twilight together when I write her. Obsessed over humans to the point of nearly being crazy, but fun and energetic at the same time. Sure, she doesn't break the forth wall like Pinkie does, or at least if she does we don't see it. So, when given the chance to write about a relationship between Lyra and what I'd consider a normal guy I jumped at the chance. It sounded like it could be a blast. Unlike a lot of stories I'm not trying to rush right in for the romance. I don't want to have them bedding each other after one or two dates, but I do want to see that obsessive behavior come out to play. Her watching his hands, trying her hardest to keep from gushing at the fact that he's a human in Ponyville.
I also love that I'm getting to play around in a universe where it's been established that Earth and the Kingdom of Equestria are getting along. There is trade going on there, humans are coming over, and a few are being asked to leave because of some aggressive behavior. I am seriously wanting to watch how this will play out. See how the world will change, and see how things evolve with Humanity's presence in Equestria.
What about poor Bon Bon?
I dunno what it is about fannon Lyra. She's built up quite a personality in so many people's headcannons. It is a fascinating psychological phenomenon.

Alas Poor Bon Bon is on Earth working in a Restaurant. Drax99 has established that Lyra and Bon Bon had been dating, but when Lyra actually found out that humans existed her obsession more or less overtook her. This of course lead to Bon Bon taking the Nope Train to Fuck that Ville and she got the hell out of Dodge.
I'm not sure what bon bon is doing at the moment, but I have thought about asking Drax if he has any idea of what she could be up to. It'd be fun to have a chapter that focused on her trying to make it on Earth.
