Here's The Plan... So Far · 1:43am Apr 25th, 2014
First off, late 100 followers mark! Thanks you all so much, here's to keeping you guys happy with my words.
Next up, the last chapter of TBATS, as mentioned in the author's notes, is the end of Arc II, and now, we move onto the last and final Arc. Aaaaaand, I hit the 100,000 word mark! Sorry to anyone who's been following this since last November and still wants to see an ending... I did not anticipate this story taking on that kind of life, let alone enough people actually reading it to the point of the amount of favs it got. But, for this last arc, I want to take care of it for the finale. It's in my mind, I just need everything in between. A few things to look forward to with the last arc; a few more random backstories with background ponies I've kinda let this story include quite a bit of, Blueblood taking on a bigger role, Stardust-Cadance friend time, more Sparkle family moments, a birthday or two, the Elite making a return, anger, a tree, boot camp (Thank you, Jake The Army Guy and Lucky424 for letting me question you guys on boot camp and other things that I may need your insight on in the near future), and the one word that could scare someone out of a relationship, or have them locking lips.
Before that, I want to plan out a little more before I get to writing it... soooooo.... yeah. Plus, I've got another story I've neglected that I need to pay attention to. The One Where They All Turn Thirty holds top priority right now, and I'm in the middle of Twilight's B-Day. I have quite a day for her. If I were to give it a percentage of being done... I'd say... 25% Yeah, not a lot, which is why this is getting top shelf right now. But, I don't want to leave without giving you guys something, soooo...
“Gotta be quicker, Spikey,” Pinkie practically sung as she pushed the canon aside. “So, are we done here?”
With his scroll and quill back in his claws, Spike scanned the party hall with a critical eye, finding everything absolutely perfect. Save for the food Applejack and some of the other cooks were still rolling into the hall, everything was set and ready for Twilight’s big surprise. “Twilight’s gonna love it.”
“How did you get her out of the castle anyway?”
“Me and Rarity took her out for breakfast before passing her along to Shining Armor so we could come back and set up. Right now, my mom and dad’s turn with Twilight should be just about done, and Cadance should have her until we’re ready.”
“Ahhh, a little family field day, huh?”
“Uh-Huh. I told Cadance to tell Twilight to go back to the castle and meet Celestia and Luna after their little outing, and that they were gonna take her out for dinner, but instead, me, you, the girls, and all the guests—”
“Will pop up and give her the best surprise party EVER!!!” Pinkie finished off, confetti somehow popping from behind her.
“Yeah, pretty much. I’m just hoping that once Twi sees the surprise, she’ll calm down.”
Pinkie cocked her head as an eyebrow rose. “Why does she need to calm down?”
Spike sighed loudly as he pinched the bridge of his snout. “I don’t know, Pink. She freaks out over a lot of things.”
“You think its because she doesn’t know what we’re doing over here,” Pinkie suggested, gesturing around the party hall.
It made sense. If Twilight didn’t know what was going on, or was kept out of the loop for so long, it wasn’t long till her habit of creating the worst case scenario kicked in, and Spike knew this all too painfully well. “Could be. I hope not. I mean, she may be a basket case, but she’s not that big of a basket case.”
Hope to have that done soon. Probably won't get much done tomorrow though because that is the night nearly every Senior in High School looks forward to besides graduation... PROM!!! I'll bust out my best dance... so basically a sporadic rag doll.
Oh, yeah, also, taking top shelf with Thirty, a story that's been in my mind since January. A little mother one-shot I hope to get out before Mother's Day. If not... it'll still come out. Hopefully not a lot of people have written this mother-son pairing out so much, so it might be relatively original. Yay if it is.
So, Arc III planning, Twilight's B-Day, Mother One-Shot, Prom.
