"That, is, in-sane!" Trixie snapped, slamming her hoof against the table. Twilight's ears splayed against her skull, and the purple mare drew a hot snort of irritation.
"It is not "Insane." it is an assignment from Princess Celestia." She retorted. Trixie wasn't hearing it , though. She crossed her arms, and narrowed her eyes.
"And INSANE assignment! One does not simply WALK into Grundle Land. We aren't exactly on the friendliest terms with them, Twilight." Trixie snarled. Twilight rolled her eyes, and took a calming breath of air.
"The princess, has asked me, to look into these matters. A stolen royal artifact is a serious offense. I am Celestia's faithful student. She has faith in me, that I won't disappoint her, and I will not. " Twilight explained as simply as she could. Trixie just glared.
"Why not send the castle guard?! Why not send the Wonderbolts? Why YOU?" She growled. Twilight shook her head.
"You said it yourself. We are not on the friendliest of terms with them. Sending the royal guard may be misconstrued as an act of war. Same with sending the Wonderbolts. I will simply go in myself and ask some questions, find the artifact, and return with it. "Twilight explained. Trixie stared.
"...That. Is. Crazy. You cannot...You...You CAN'T go to Grundle Land ALONE. You would never survive the trip! Y, you cannot be serious! PLEASE tell Trixie you are not serious!" Trixie barked. Twilight gave a low growl. She was growing tired of this.
"Yes. Trixie, I AM, serious. I have an assignment, and I will NOT fail the princess." Twilight snapped. Trixie stared at her. For a long time.
"...if...if your that worried about me...you...you could..." Twilight stammered. Trixie immediately shook her head.
"Don't flatter yourself, Twilight. The Great and Powerful Trixie wouldn't DREAM of coming along on some silly adventure with you. The Great and Power Trixie has FAR more important things to do with her time. " She growled. Twilight narrowed her eyes- but before she could speak, Trixie continued.
"HOWEVER...if Twilight Sparkle were to..BEG Trixie for her help...Trixie could...be persuaded to keep an eye on you...if only because Twilight has not yet reached her full potential, and Trixie should like to challenge Twilight to a duel. ONE day, perhaps, you shall be a match for Trixie. " The blue mare growled. Twilight rolled her eyes...but her lips twisted into a small smile. In all honesty, she was frightened of the prospect of heading into Grundle Land alone...but now she had to consider the Prospect of traveling into Grundle Land with Trixie...
Did things just go from bad to worse?

Just an idea I've been kicking around in my head for a potential sequel to Blood Boil. Taking place Six months in the future, Trixie and Twilight have hit some bumpy patches in their friendship...and now with Twilight tasked to leave on a dangerous mission, Trixie has to decide whats really important to her.
I just kinda jotted down some ideas to see how I felt about this concept...but it's not really sticking at the moment. Maybe I need to re-write it with a fresh start. HMmm...
I actually really like it! Would be a shame if it were never written
I like the concept, and I'd love to read it. I wish you the best of luck. Trixie and Twilight going off on an adventure while trying to straighten out their own issues sounds awesome.
If the writing doesn't turn out exactly how you wanted, don't force it. Approach it from a different viewpoint, maybe. Or move on to a later scene and it might give you ideas. Or take a little break; even if you're not consciously working on it, your brain is ticking away at the problem and might come up with something on its own. (This is why we have those moments five minutes after turning in the test, when we suddenly remember the answer to the question we skipped.)
