I will not debate with someone who refuses to understand my position.

I am too busy doing part 2 to continue reading anon reviews sent to my FF.net profile that have nothing to do with the reviewed story within the first five words.

Also if your fic uses the anime rules, why does everyone start with 8000 Life Points?

    mSCt3k Epsiode Y: For Yikes!

Hello, everyone! A recent wave of hyperfixation has got me working on a new solo! This still isn't episode 6 (how do my solo riffing projects keep stalling out at episode 6?!), but a "side series" with a special episode number. This mixes something old with something... not exactly new, but few other critics of this author put the focus in the areas I'm capable of focusing, so I'm capable of

For those wondering, yes, I am going to do riffs for part 3 and 4 of "End of Ends Riff." The docs are all set up and everything. It's just been slow to start due to the setup for part 3 being substantially harder than usual. As I said in my end rant for part 2, I'm pulling out all the stops, and I wanted to make sure I'll be doing it correctly (a.k.a. more effort than the TomTom Boys - as

Gheeze, it's been forever, hasn't it? · 8:09am Apr 13th, 2014

An update on the progress of Death Wish (I'm OK with you guys still using Death Wish): it's... really slow going. I mean, you could probably already tell that, it's been four months since the last chapter. But not all of those four months have been entirely spent working on it. University, of course, is the major factor; I've been liking a few of my classes, but one of them is such an energy sink...

The third chapter has two major scenes, like the second chapter. The first has been sitting done for a while, and I have enough confidence in the major things introduced in it that I don't feel like I need to change it further. The second has barely even started. It'll require a lot of thought, because this same location will (by my current plans) be visited later and during that second visit, the general layout of cores will be set from this first visit; I can't just back up and change it like I can descriptions in the same chapter since retconning previous chapters would be straight-up cheating (which is why I'm sticking with there being no telephones, even though in retrospect that was a really dumb idea). Plus it involves one of my least liked Mane 6 members and I'm not especially focused on the aspects of her home's interior during the show.

One thing I will say is that there won't be a 4 Minutes in Chapter 3, but that doesn't mean Sissel doesn't have his series's standard puzzle in his way. I do hope you find the chapter juicy enough once it's done to satisfy you.

ABOUT RIFFS:
I've tried contacting twow about co-riffing this weekend, and while we did set to do some more today (technically yesterday, but who cares), we never got started. Tomorrow also isn't good for me since my parents will be pulling me into yard work. At this point I'm wondering if I should just post Episode 7 so I can get started on 8, but I don't want to give the impression I've given up. Twow hasn't been nearly as active on the site lately (though then again, neither am I) and I'm concerned he's losing too much of his spark to riff, know what I mean? Maybe he's just in hibernation until summer, which is probably the best-case scenario. In any case, I'm not releasing 7 yet. I've got two ideas for what to riff for 8, the fourth Starlight fic (which I still haven't read, and probably won't until I finish the third one, though I am really eager to do so given what the cover image implies; see the end of Episode 4-4) and another fic I found last month and ugh. I'm leaning toward the former, as the latter is a ways longer and the way I'm thinking the narrative will flow it'd probably be better if it was Episode 9.

As for the main line, I've been working on Episode 10-6. I just hope I'm not repeating jokes too often; with how long the fic is and my tendency to recycle jokes, I may get stuck in a rut sometimes. Nonetheless, progress has been relatively steady.

ONE MORE THING:

Anyone know anything about installing a MySQL server on Windows 8? I mean, I probably got the book to do that and are probably just too lazy to look it up on MySQL's site, but I built a database for keeping track of all my riffing things in Microsoft Access and am thinking of shifting over to MySQL where I have a little more control. Just pinging for the hopes of some help, I guess.

Yay news! Oof, college makes things complicated for sure—I've been slowing down big time in my own updates as a result... :fluttershysad:

I would be glad to help if you need any!
