Derpy Accidentally a Portal Gun II Blog Entry

A big thanks to my pre-reader, metallusionismagic.

All the various weapons in this story really exist.

You don't know what you're gonna need it for, but you just always need it.

Slightly rephrased from Boondock Saints.

Noteworthy is one of the ponies Rarity suckered into pulling the carriage to the Grand Galloping Gala. My new favorite joke is having a mare make him do hard work for her; to my regular readers, expect to see it again in another upcoming chapter.

I don't know if the mountain Canterlot is built on has a canon name, so I went with Unicorn Mountain.

Real storm drains are very dark and smell funny. They also often have pipes crossing through them. I'm not what you'd call an 'expert' in storm drains, but I've been in a few, just to see where they go. In the movies, though, storm drains often seem overly clean, and too well-lit.

Many storm drain systems have underground holding basins (they usually look like flooded parking garages), to control the inflow and outflow. During particularly heavy storms, there's usually a second, higher system, in case the primary system gets overloaded.

Detacord is an explosive in a tube. It's simple to use (I imagine; I have no personal experience): loop it around what you want to blow up, attach an appropriate detonator, and set it off.

Semtex is a general-purpose plastic explosive.

Opening the mouth is to prevent the explosion from causing a burst eardrum. I don't know if that can actually happen to people, and I really don't know if it can happen to ponies, but it seemed like a reasonable precaution.

I went with Canterlot Mountain. The creativity is strong within me! It was hiding at that moment, though..

Also, I'm pretty sure it's an unspoken rule that, no matter the situation, you always, always take rope.

Yeah... No actual need other than to make the shots better.
