I am sorry to all those who enjoyed my stories, but this website is becoming too retarded: the same unoriginal and bland story keep getting featured by a different user everyday. Human in Equestria stories really annoyed me to the point that I have given lackluster comments to the authors.
98% of stories on this site are: Unoriginal and horribly written. It's like reading the same story over and over, but with a different-boring-character. In addition, most of the stories I have read were written by twelve year olds who can't get out of the house and do something with their friends! It's so sad!
The update on the feature system is what also got me to quit this site: It's the most retarded update I have ever seen on this website. Why...because stories are meant to be featured because of their originality...not because of how many likes and chapters, or views, it has.
It's absurd beyond our human complexion!
Most of the children on this website, who cannot take a constructive criticism without having to wet themselves, are desperate to get featured, which is why a majority of the stories on this site are pointless to read.
Is this were the Fandom has gone to? Stories that are being written by children, who have no creativity whatsoever? Are they really that desperate to get featured?

Oh come on, you're not going to go leaving the whole fandom just because of a few (okay, a lot of) sub-par stories are you? That just seems kind of silly to me.
Yes, there's a lot of terrible fanfiction, and yes, it's always being written, but it's only through practice that these people improve. If you want, I can happily lead you to some of the more excellent stories on this site. No HIE, no self inserts, just proper, episode-esque writing.
Better Living Through Science and Ponies - Portal 2 crossover, highly regarded as an excellent piece of fanfiction in many circles of this community.
Background Pony - Slightly dark take on Lyra, the first chapter alone is excellent enough to qualify as its own fanfic.
Pinkie Watches Paint Dry - and has an enormous philosophical debate over it. Gives a good lesson on how to live your life. Trust me, just read it.
Daring Doo and the secret of the Fourth Wall - Rainbow Dash ends up in a Daring Doo book. Adventure Ensues.
Shipping and Handling - If no other piece, at least read this emotional rollercoaster of everyone's favourite mailmare, Ditzy Doo.
There. Five fics, all of which I personally think are amazing, and are highly praised across Equestria Daily and deviantArt as well as FIMfiction. And not a human or self-insert in sight. (Baring Chell in Science and Ponies, but hey, it's a crossover).

I've seen people write a blog and post a link or make a video on Youtube (like your blog). It just seems like a away to attact a bit of attention, only for those people to eventually return. I digress I do find many fics in the site to fail beyond the quality of writing of the "Twilight Saga", but its something to expect when many people have little care for writing these days. To be honest this blog really is about as biased and lame as it sounds, its like I say "I wont watch any action movies because a lot of shitty ones exist" or "Screw Youtube, nothing but random trash vids people make" Its just viewing the negatives of the site and not willing to admire the good parts. Even more so, just because a concept might be original doesn't mean its going to be AAA quality unless the writer gives love and effort for their work.
I'm not the best writer out there, but I'm not the guy who calls "98%" of fics here trash just because they aren't the best thing out there since slice bread.

It's not only Fimfiction that I am leaving, I am leaving the entire fandom in general. That does not mean I will stop watching the show and appreciate it with other Bronys, but everything, from the artwork to the countless stories, I tire from running into each passing day.

Even more so, if you don't want to read shit fanfics, don't read the one with a generic ass description. For the art, like any media, you have the expect work out there that is flat-out gorgeous to the levels of Sarah Jessica Parker, even at that I've seen a fair amount of well made art (I suppose you actually meant rule34, since I see only ONE picture that isn't even from the new generation of "My Little Pony" on e621).
I digress, why not just post those stories you have on deviant art for those to read in this site? I'm sure that your work will be highly regarded, since you view the majority of the users here in a pessimistic manner and know the meaning of "originality".
Truth is, what you claim isn't anything new. Its just laughable since chances are, you'll eventually look at the fanwork since we all know not "98%" of it is trash.

I hate the fandom now, i think it's crap because of the countless absurd crossovers and stories that have been uploaded recently, but it's my opinion. I am not acting the way I am because of hate, it is because I generally dislike elements that are combined in a story or appear in one over and over again: Fallout/My Little Pony.

It certiantly isn't something people write over and over and over again until it's something we see everyday.

129010 This is something YOU have to learn. Firstly, if that comment was so pointless, then why did you reply? Is your "superiority" faltering on you? Second, I've seen your "critiscism". Critiscism is when you point out flaws and what needs to be corrected in a story, and not write "Th1s is a rip-off of x" or "This is shit!11 Take it off 0r ba1337 it!".
However, you ARE a child if you consider your criticism as being "Top-notch" and constantly call others "children" or "youth" due to whatever age you have. Like I wrote before, a mathematical equation demonstrating the time you've spent on Earth does NOT make you superior to others, no matter what age.
Yet, I understand if you do not like the same sort of thing constantly posted over and over. I also don't like that, which is why I always like to experiment with my own stories, and why the readers seem to like most of them so much. I know that quite a few of my stories are crap, and I warn whoever wishes to read it in advance, but I won't take them off because, hey, someone might like them, and it teaches me for future stories.
There are two things to do if you don't like something posted here: either you read through and see if it really is a rip-off, or another, more thought-out version of the story. If it has some intriguing twists to it, then it will certainly be worth reading 'til the end. The other is simple: don't read it.
I accept critiscism quite well when it is well-written and points out flaws. I won't rewrite the story, but I will integrate it into future stories I make. There are those, however, who like to instate their personal opinion and blow down the author when the story is actually good. *cough*EqD*cough* This is what I saw you doing, an that is why I kinda "raged".

Just a quick question, but am I the only one who pays attention to the show and knows how to love and tolerate others? You appear to be over-reacting to a small amount of fics on this site. Sure I can agree with you in some cases, such as the absurd amount of clopfics which get uploaded every day*, but the large majority of the stories on FiMfiction are actually pretty good. You shouldn't let a small part of the fandom ruin everything for you.
*Don't get me wrong. There's nothing wrong with wanting to read and write clopfics, as I have read a few myself, but I just find it slightly weird that so many are produced in a short amount of time. One or two a week, yeah that's fine, but five a day? That's just the ones I see while I'm on this site, I don't even include the ones that get uploaded while I'm logged out.
