Writers block is evil and a questions for all readers. · 2:16am Mar 24th, 2014
As some of you can guess, I have been hit with case of writers block with chapter two of 'I'm not a mare.' It's such a pain. Every time I write something, I hate and deleted it. So now here where I ask some questions. I would to ask what you guys think the next chapter to be about. Next question is should I try submitting this story to EqD and if anyone knows some editors who would like to help me get the story patched up if I do submit it? I know that is a lot to ask, but I really need the help. Thanks a bunch from the Redbook in the library.
distractions are also evil
so is procrastination
Well, an idea could be for Twilight to find out, and she plays matchmaker between the two. Bring in Twilight that is what I say. Best of luck with the writers block.
Well, my suggestion would be for them to try to figure out the how and why of their situation.
I would wait till you have a direction you want the story to go in, before going for EqD.
The second chapter should about "I am now a mare, now what?" And "how the hell this happrened and what can I do to change back?"
Well, I still offer my services as editor.

Thank you, I sent you a PM with a link. Again thank you so much.
If I ever become an editor for this site it's going to be so fucking low or it's not even going to cost anything because helping an author out shouldn't cost anything, unless that legitimately is your job or you seriously need money. By that I mean the crazy amounts that they do on this site.
But I digress.
So much as $5/Hr seems like a lot, some people like to take their time and some people like to read slowly so this could get costly for some people and their insanely long chapters. Personally I think that $5/Chapter should be around what it should be, but that's also depending on word count and if the writer is a particularly sloppy writer.
But there are some editors I've heard of (Not particularly on this site) that have done $20/Hr. Now this - in my opinion - an insane amount. Especially if you have to go back a lot, such as it may be a confusing story, meant to trick the reader, or it may require words that said editor may not know. Of course I'm not going to drag this list out, but hopefully you get the point I'm trying to make with that - which is - curiosity may drag it out so it may cost more, unless they have a timer right next to them that they pause if they need too.
Oh, sorry it became a rant. I didn't mean this - Honestly!
(Also, I did a little research and professional editor rates can go from $30-$70, maybe more.)
(Everything here is in USD.)
Edit: Sorry if it's hard to understand what I meant by it, what I mean is that I don't see a need to cost money to be an editor, unless it's a small amount and/or per chapter.
Edit 2: I'm not going to stop you if you want to continue, I'm just generally speaking.
Also, it depends on how good the editor is, if they're costing say $20/Hr, and they do a horrible job, and now you owe this person $100 (I doubt it but go with it), It seems like and overpriced contractor that gets everything removed and leaves it at that. Wow, that was a new analogy even for me.
1951762 You're welcome! I'll start with that as soon as I can.
