Need Technical Assistance: No New Notifications · 12:56am Mar 20th, 2014
This time, this blog has nothing to do with my stories. It's purely a cry for technical assistance.
I don't know what happened or what I did… but you all know that bell icon along the top of Fimfiction.net? The one right next to the 'search' browser? Well... I can only hope I'm describing the problem correctly, but I'd signed up on a lot of mailing lists, from Xenophilia HQ to all the Writers-Helping-Writers groups, and practically everything in it has seemed to deleted itself. Literally, without my saying so. The only things remaining are posts like "X-Reader Favorited Divided Rainbow" and "Y-Reader Commented On Your Story." Now, I'm glad all THESE got saved: feedback from my readers is one of the greatest joys I get, writing this story.
But I've gotten no new updates from any of my mailing lists. Nothing new's coming in! And I'm starting to worry. I tried going around and playing with the 'Settings,' but it hasn't seemed to help. I think something's blocking my mail or something, and I don't know what to do!
Any advice?
In the interim, you can see recently updated threads by clicking on the "Groups" button on the far left of your control panel, or whatever you call the thing just under the site logo. If all else fails, you can always go look at the group fora one by one.
