While stumbling around the internet today, I found this quite interesting website, fit for writers like those who are probably following. It's called "I Write Like," a free internet tool that allows users to copypaste text in and then use advanced and suspicious algorithms to determine what writing style it closely resembles. For example, Maud Pie's exemplary poetry:
Seems Legit.
Then I remembered: I'm in a Narrative Storytelling class. I'm going to do some writing on my own. What style do I emulate? These are pressing concerns, but I haven't written any storie- Wait.
Strap yourselves in.
Thinking quickly, I copypasted my blog text in...
...and...
...
Also seems legit.
Well, copypasting my other blogs consistently returns me with the same horror writer emulation. Despite never reading Lovecraft's stories, my writing must truly inspire dread wherever I roam just like his works. Damn, I need to start writing more, not only because I need to because of my Narrative Storytelling class, but also because I can potentially write awesome stories that nobody appreciates in my time and die alone and miserable in poverty.
Your future progenitor of unspeakable horrors,

Thanks.
I tried it out and it turns out that every single chapter of Obiter Dicta is written by a different person. "An Afternoon for Dotted Line" is Ursula K. LeGuin[1], "The Game The Princesses Play" is HP Lovecraft, "On The Inaccuracy of Proverbs" is Oscar Wilde, and "On The Nature Of War" is Johnathan Swift.
I see.
Apparently I have an absolutely terrible case of writing DID.
[1] I'm flattered, sure, but... really?
1928897 How do you find stuff like that out? I've searched in vain for anything like a comprehensive list of tags.

I think it randomly came up when I was chatting with Knighty one time. That was a year or so ago.

Well, I decided to run this through story type stuff I have written, and now I'm writing like David Foster Wallace. Here's hoping we don't end our writing careers like the people we're writing similar to, although I need to start mine first.
Also, your blogs apparently emulate the style of Stephen King. We should write a good horror story together sometime.

In hindsight, the fact I keep my notes in tomes bound in human leather and exclusively use malevolent candle lighting should have been an early indicator, plus how sometimes I speak the words I write out loud and get a response sometimes.
Anyways, now that I've been divinely inspired, hopefully you'll see some actual writing from me.
