The Interloper

So, I've been thinking about bringing down The Interloper and rewriting the first 8 or so chapters. I feel like I wrote myself into a corner and I'm all out of ideas. Thoughts?

well the evil alien monsters or whatever want to exterminate all humans, and humans are native to equestria, so invasion maybe? i dunno

I was thinking something similar, but I'm not too sure how. I may go about it (still part of the outline), however I'm not sure HOW I want to do as the current story arc makes it difficult.

Take a break for a week and read the crap out of as many T.V tropes pages and works of literature as possible.

Hell, on second thought, experience stories of any form via any type of media handy. As the Bible says; "there is no new thing under the sun", the ideas of other works will implant their DNA into your skull, making themselves known to you.

Under no circumstances are you allowed to write anything related to The Interloper during this time, the bad ideas will come and fester and fade away, the good ones worth remembering will stay, fresh as twice purified water.

At least, that's what works for me. (I say that, yet I still haven't finished the first chapter in my own fic )

As far as the re-writing goes, if you feel it is necessary, do it. Good writing is felt by the brain rather than contrived by it, know that the pink, squishy organ will (intentionally) do you no harm.
