Infinity Ward admits that COD players aren't real gamers. (I'm laughing my ass off. Lel.) · 10:37pm Mar 9th, 2014
I'm not attacking COD players, but Infinity Ward sure is. I, myself, stopped being a fan of COD after Call of Duty 3 (The original, not MW3), but I never got into any internet fights, because, let's be honest, it's plain childish.
This is still absolutely hilarious, though. It's so ironic how one of the top dogs of Infinity Ward, Mark Rubin, thinks this way.
In a revelation that isn't news to anyone, but is interesting to hear from the horse's mouth, Infinity Ward producer Mark Rubin said in an interview with OXM, that he doesn't think there will be any big changes with the next-generation of Call of Duty games. Why? Because the fans of the game aren't hardcore gamers.
You would think that anyone in Infinity Ward would not have the balls to say that where that information could be leaked all over the internet, but, there it is. As plain as an English muffin. So, what do you think of all this? Again, I'm not looking into an internet fight or, god forbid, a fight amongst bronies. Those can be very... yeah. Not pleasant. Anywho, like I said, what do you all think of this? It's ironic and interesting at the same time. I really didn't expect to see this said from someone like this.
As much as I hate COD, I have to admit that is a weird statement they are making. Anyone who picks up a game to play is infact a "gamer".
Compare that to the average PC gamer, who may play a lot of League of Legends, but chances are they have experience in RTS games, or puzzlers, perhaps a few shooters thrown in the mix.
I think this is funny, I am a PC gamer and I don't play RTS games or many puzzlers lol. I play tons of different game genres though; I do get what they are saying about them not being hardcore. They only play COD and that is all.
Meh, never played Call of Duty before so I don't know much about it beyond the fact that it's a shooter game.
1911977 We're talking about hardcore gamers, which COD players aren't.
1911988 Trust me, you're not missing out.
THat is true, the funniest part is most of those players will never see that little article. They don't even look up game news!
1912003
1912006 Then my wallet and I thank you
1911986 RTS games are so fun. Age of Empires 1 & 2 were awesome. 3 was a pile of steaming shit.
1912007 I don't much, but every once in a while, I find stuff like this. Game producers know that the average gamer is most likely stupid, and exploit that. The elitists, who actually have some variety, know this, and are wary, which prevents them from being fucked over too much. And if they do get fucked over, at least they realize it.
lmao, I dunno I've just never been into them. I do like Fallout 1 and 2 but I think that is different... hmm. 1912010
Its still pretty easy to get fucked over, hence I made a gaming blog post about Bioshock Infinite: Review of a Video Game I made that after I got so mad over that game... I am beyond wary of what I buy and yet I still got burned. 1912021
1912035 The trick is to not be burned as much.
Not feel or not be? 1912039
1912040 Both, I suppose.
On another note, I played that new South park game. Best two days of gameplay of my life, other than a vast majority of classic games... but I mean this day and age.
Played the new Donkey Kong on Wii U... its amazing. Insanely difficult though. 1912043
1912046 I loved the Donkey kong games. The Nintendo 64 one was the shit. Haven't played that one before, though, unfortunately.
in my option cod sucks metal gear solid FTW
