Wow. I've missed you guys. Like, a lot. What a fucking week I've had (not difficult, just busy), and I'm ready to get saddled up again. This girl... obsessed might be a strong word, but we are pretty close. I don't think it's infatuation though. We've been friends for years, so we know each other extremely well. It's not like we just met or anything.
This girl came over to my house yesterday, and I'm not quite sure how everything didn't just... fall apart.
She told me one of her worst secrets at work (it's so bad, I actually won't say what it is), and when she came over I asked about it in my usual, Surry way. After spilling her heart out to me (we had been playing guitar and violin), I finally told her everything.
Everything.

1904576 I'm a Hospital Corpsman. I'm like a Med Tech in the AF, but I do a lot more. I work in the inpatient pediatric ward of a hospital, and I'm also personally responsible for ordering all the medical supplies and equipment for my ward. It's a pretty important job.

At first your post confused me. Then, I realized that you're editing. Then I checked and realized you're pre reading and proof reading, but also editing.
And don't feel pressured. I was merely commenting that I was amused by your conversation.
Side note, from one editor to another, when you feel pressured, you're more likely to miss something while editing. It's best to slow down (unlike Dash), drink some tea (more like Rarity), and read all the words (exactly like Twi). This'll calm you down enough to be properly focused.
1905435 Oh trust me, I'm very VERY focused under pressure, more so than usual, even. I work in a hospital, so I actually thrive under pressure. I got things done so quickly and thoroughly as to actually catch double spaces!

1905479 I must say, these status (pronounced stay-tus, which is weird cos i'm not British(sorry if that offends anyone)) updates are great. And that picture is creepy. FLY AWAY, BIRDIE!
Just to give you all an idea, I just averaged 1,000 words per 15 minutes, and I kept that up for three hours straight. I had already edited 2,000 words, so I proofread and edited (roughly) 12,000 words in a little less than 3 hours. I daresay I'm getting damn good at this.
It's really fun when the author is competent enough, in the first place.
