And this is where I rant about characters and give a slight middle finger to certain members of the brony fandom. Feel free to skip.

So, I have been thinking. What have I been thinking about, you might ask? Well I shall tell you.

I have been thinking about Pinkie Pie. This is no surprise to those who know me, or at least to the ones of you that know that Pinkie is my best pony. If you didn't, now you do.

So. Pinkie Pie. She's been acting weird this entire season, and yes everyone on the brony planet has recognized that. You don't need to keep whining about it.

See the thing about bronies is, they hate change. They do. Remember the big fiasco around January when Knightly changed the site layout and people became outraged?

The same it is with characters in the show. One must realize that this is a cartoon show for little girls, and as such the characters act like cartoon characters, which means that when they feel emotion, it is exaggerated so that the little girls don't miss the fact that they're sad or they're angry.

The thing is, emotions are more powerful, yet much more short term, than one's general 'personality' (and even that subtly changes as people grow). Emotions, strong ones, can change our entire personality in the span that they are felt. Its natural for a person to snap at others when he/she is feeling angry/tired/on their periods, even if that person is sweet as a general rule.

And that's where I find bronies to be incredibly bias. They're always saying that you should write ponies as humans, more or less. Yet in the show, when Pinkie Pie changes personalities across episodes, they start screaming at their screen that she's Out Of Character. I capitalized this because its the favorite word in the brony dictionary and something they love accusing the characters of being. Its just like that fact that they hate OC stories and yet love Humanized, in which, of course, the main character has to be an OC. But don't even get me started on that.

All of it makes me interested in doing a little experiment. I want to write a story where I make Pinkie Pie (because she's best pony and tends to be the one who is accused of being OOC the most) a bitch. I'm going to make her a complete bitch, for no absolute reason. Or at least, not one that you can guess. There will be a reason in the end, a good one (and i have not thought what it is yet), but I just wanna write the story to see how many people down vote and comment that that she's being OOC without reading the entire fic.

Perhaps this sounds troll-y, but it's simply an experiment that I want to test out. Its hardly any worse than humanized clop -shudder-. So, I'm gonna go plan and think. If you want to give suggestions for the story, or counterarguments to this blog, then please, by all means. I actually enjoy having my opinion changed, because the only way you can change it is if you make me see a side of the story that I'm missing.
