Today the whole family had a sh*tstorm of a yelling match"talk" about what I discussed in my last blog, and everyone but the person in question has come to the same conclusion. That select person is disillusioned in his morals and his status in the house.

Don't write anything you personally don't feel " the drive" for.
If it isn't in your gut you'll get disheartened fast. Remember your tenses.
Always know your character(s) before you write your story. I like to roleplay my characters before I write for them. If you don't think you could write a character's biography then you need to spend more time researching and roleplaying them.
I personally believe if you're writing for any other reason besides it's your passion/ past time, that you shouldn't write. Don't write if you feel forced to it. If I don't have the "puppy love" sensation when I recollect about my stories I take a break, reread my brainstorm notes and re-saturate myself in my work.

I'm not really sure what to do now. I have a problem. Erm... I have three idea's for a story (Which are all terrible ideas), and I don't know which one to do. 
All of them will be approximately 10,000 words, and they all take place in the third person meta-physical thing that is quite popular around here.
The first is a really boringly factual story about a gun obsessed stallion called Smokescreen. 
The second is a painful depressing story about Thunderlane being trapped in a room, while slowly dying from starvation. 
The last is a slice of life about the receptionist from; 'Rarity takes Manehatten' although it will probably brake down into clop at some point. 
They're all really bad... I just wouldn't mind you telling me which one sounds the least worst... If you know what I mean.
If you tell me to just get on with my own decisions, that's fine too... I'm rambling... I love you...

I remember in the starting phase for DtD(dismay turned discord) "Everme" wanted to make the story lead into a Discord and Luna romance(from her love a greek/roman lore and this song). It was one of her driving goals for the story. but as she wrote it (I was her "supervising editor") she started to question if basing all of her work on this romance was worth all her efforts (The story was 20k words atp) She later revised luna's arc to hint at romance on another character. This strengthened Discord's character to keep his whimsical yet mysterious charm,Luna since her new hinted interest was in a different country. and the love interest because it gave his story all the more depth.
besides my rambling...rambling is our loving curse. you want some actual insight. "Everme" was looking to challenge herself by writing what she called in her words "a heroes(the tv show) styled pre-equestria drama that shows the events that shaped Equestria's Princess' into who they are now."
Are you trying to challenge yourself? Are you looking to write something quick and fun? Take a look at your stories from a perspective reader's view. Would you read your own story, is the theme why you like it,or is it the pacing,prose or characters that make you like/dis like it?
Why does Thunderlane have to slowly starve? Is it a punishment, a dare...is the story going to delve into his psychi?
Who is smokescreen why should the reader care for him? What's the difference if Smokescreen was Sandstorm or Tumble Le Weed. I've read some very pivotal stories that are solely base on character analysis. I'll post links later....
