But wait there's more! · 4:26am Feb 24th, 2014
While Catch Me if I Fall is finished, I am not. Not by a long shot. I am fairly pleased with the results of that story, and it's extra nice that it got extra viewers after the FINAL chapter was posted. It makes sense, I like to read a finished story just as much as anyone else.
I already have the next one finished. Just needs a few touch ups and it'll be posted next Sunday. I'm trying to cut down on the length of the stories I write, with the added bonus that shorter stories end up being easier to manage. Did any of you read Kkat's post about editing Fallout: Equestria? I can imagine the monumental task of editing something of that size. I'd rather pass a kidney stone.
This is a bit off topic, but I'm just curious. How many of you browse the site with the mature filter on/off? I normally keep it on, but sometimes I turn it off just to see what everyone (at least I think it's everyone) sees. The front page is just covered in clop today. While it irks me that something so mindless gets the most attention, I have to remember two things.
1. Not every piece of clop is poorly written.
2. Clop is rarely "the greatest story ever."
Ask any brony or pegasister what the top three fics are and I'll bet dollars to donuts that you'll get one clop story at the most out of three, and probably not number one. Maybe they like comedy and think Letters from a Disgruntled Friendship Student (has innuendo, but no clop) is hilarious, or maybe you're like me and love Fallout: Equestria or Background Pony. I've yet to read This Platinum Crown but I've heard fabulous things about it. Same thing with Antipodes. None of those are clop.
So, do you browse with the mature filter on or off?
