Restructuring the Trilogy · 1:49am Feb 22nd, 2014
Hello, readers of Omega and people who followed me because of that one crackfic I wrote once! Today I'm here to bring you more news of how this most recent rewrite is coming along, and how v3 of Omega will be released.
First off, Omega is no longer going to be a trilogy. Whereas I was previously planning on writing it in three parts tentatively titled as Survivor, Warrior, and Commander, it is now going to be released in a saga of four parts: Vinctus, Novitius, Fortis, and Praefectus. Why is this, you ask?
Because Dissero's time in Harmony City is becoming so much more developed that it now simply must be presented as its own story. Some unnecessary characters are being scrapped, while several new ones are being added in along with the new focus on the rebel movement! Omega: Vinctus will focus on his imprisonment in and escape from Harmony, and once I finish the first three chapters I will release them as their own brand new story on FimFic, then release one chapter a week until it is done, with a final anticipated length of roughly ten chapters.
Also, once I finish Vinctus and go on to Novitius (which will include all the events currently shown in Omega v2, after Dissero escapes), my co-author will step out of the lurking shadows and take up authorship alongside me! He will write Omega: Resistance, a side-story following the path of Salvo, a brand new rebel character who will fight to free Harmony while Dissero fights to survive in the Outer World. I dunno about you, but I'm looking forwards to it!
Anywho, that'll be all. I'm currently in the final stages of plotting out Vinctus and writing it's first chapter, and after that it shouldn't take too long for the next two to be done and the story to be out.
Until later!
More Omega?
All my yes, even I have to wait a little longer. I love how devoted you are to your story!
Well I'm intrigued by this, as it sounds like an ambitious project. Do the subtitles all have to be Latin, though?

Well, technically I guess not, but the use of Latin phrases has become such a motif within the story so far, and besides that everything sounds cooler in Latin. I imagine any readers that take the time to research the meanings behind all my Latin may even enjoy the story more.

Honestly, I can barely imagine writing anything else.
Writing anything else seriously, anyways.
1864030 Well then I suppose if it's actually going to be a motif in the story it's okay. Nevermind then.
