    A Diamond Birthday to Celebrate

Diamonds, they are often found 'In the Rough'.
They come in many shapes and sizes.
But the most sought after feature is the brilliant fire that shines inside the clarity the finished gem.

The Luck O' the Irish, and a Hungarian Mare

March 17, St. Patrick's Day, the anniversary of when I joined this MLP community, eight years ago, and, as I've recently found out, the birth date of a very very unique individual in the Thoroughbred world.

Dang, I wish I didn't have to work ... · 1:05pm Feb 20th, 2014

Then I could spend more time on my writing projects ...

Was supposed to have a free weekend again ... but ...

A co-worker has a gift certificate for the Holiday Inn, so while he's covering his girl, I have to cover his shitty shift. :twilightangry2:

Working six days a week wouldn't be so bad, other than the payroll taxes on overtime, getting paid time-and-a-half sounds pretty good until the taxman picks your pocket for it. :fluttershyouch:

Chapter 11 of An Apple Studded Diamond, chugs along. It may not be as long as the previous two (probably c. 4000 words) but it is the set up for the next which will be hot on its heels as it is almost totally worked out in my head and hopefully won't suffer as many alterations and revisions as the current chapter is.

Also I've started the next chapter of Mac's Tale II: The Blood of Apples, and am using it as a jam diversion with the trouble I'm having with Chapter 11 of ASD. It's also worth noting that this is story of what Twilight and the others swore to keep secret that I alluded to at end the last chapter of An Apple Studded Diamond. So March might start with a big load of posts for me as my One Year anniversary on the site approaches. (St. Patrick's Day) :pinkiehappy:

Take your time. All good thing are worth waiting for.

Most people are already sick of people saying everypony, and here you go using horse breeding terms to talk about your coworker.

That's the Barton difference. +1 for commitment.

1857528 Force of habit that I use to avoid cussin' a blue streak at work sometimes, got a few odd looks but nobody complains. Then there's Firefly ...

:fluttershyouch: I don't know if I have anything constantly irritating enough in my life to compare, seeing as I'm kind of eternally cool with everything when I'm not having an anxiety attack, so I can't really relate but sorry. Unless you count trying to get to doctors appointments via public transport. It always manages to take an extra hour. And you always start needing to pee about halfway through the ride and the fact that my fingers start going numb when my blood pressure gets low enough really doesn't help...
