I'm sorry, guys.
Life hasn't exactly been easy on me lately. I was told I would n pass my math class, no matter how hard I tried (c on a midterm... that I got all questions correct on). My aunt went in for a c-section, and we were all worried sick. My dad had just quit his job.
I come here as a way to escape the grind, so I don't frequently talk about what goes on outside, but sometimes what happens has a way of bleeding in.
I was frustrated and tired. I came on to update my story, and my message box was full of very angry letters about a few of my stories. I tried to answer questions, but found that it didn't help things at all.
So, I shut down. I was angry at myself for not having all the answers, for being sub-par writer, for failing math, for all these things. In one fell swoop, I then decided to destroy my greatest achievement on this site.
I'm sorry. I threw a diva tantrum. I hope you can forgive me.
I really do want to finish the story. I promise. And after seeing how many of you want to see the ending, I think it will be best for both of us if we just take a break, I get my life back on track, and both of us pretend this never happened.

Don't worry about it. Life's pretty shitty at times and the only thing you can do is roll with the punches. Take some time off, maybe take up another hobby for a while.
Do whatever you think you should. If that means canceling the story, then cancel the story. As for the "tantrum", you've got some pretty good excuses for it. I don't think anyone will be too angry at you for getting stressed out.

As Rocky Balboa put it, "It's not about how hard you can hit, it's how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward" It may have taken you longer to get back up and keep moving forward but you got hit ludicrously hard.
And in the end you're still moving forward, how fast your moving forward isn't relevant, take the time you need.

If you've construed my comments on "Civil Activist" To be hatemail, that wasn't my intention. I rarely comment on online stories, but when I do, it's to point out problems and to offer a possible solution.
Unless you have to post the chapters while they are white hot from the vat, once you finish a chapter, let it sit for a day and read over it again. You'd be amazed how many errors you'll find that you would have missed and have the internet love machine nitpick at when you post the chapter. Your fans will understand if the chapter takes a little longer than they are used to. If they complain, well, they were never really your fans to begin with.
I hope that you are spending the hiatus deconstructing the fic and reconstructing the fic so that it comes out that bit more polished once it comes out. Well, doing that inbetween RL things.
