I went through my FimFic updated today for the first time in about three weeks. Interestingly, Flash Sentry seems to have become the hot potato topic of late. The criticisms, opinions and defences of his character make for some fascinating reading, so I thought I'd pass them on for others to peruse.

I asked something similar on my blog recently, and while I did get a few vitriolic flash hate (and some staunch 'defenders' whose sole response was 'it makes twilight straight') most of the commenters pretty much said they don't care about him enough either way.

He's another named male cast member, we've done a lot more with others, even the generic dude-bro who is Shining Armor. I personally just don't get the hate. I don't get the utter love from him either, there isn't really enough there to 'love', imho. But hey, he gives me another pony for potential M/M ships, how can you hate that? (he asks, well aware there are a lot of people who would hate that for multiple reasons )
