Who Here Likes Science Fiction? How About Transformation Fiction and Speculative Alternate Universes? · 11:35pm Feb 16th, 2014
Because if you do, I made a thing.
Sibling's at the Edge is a story that I've been working on since this late summer, hammering it out along with draft chapters of a half-dozen or so other fictions. After having found pre-readers, an editor, and careful consideration, I decided that this was the project I wanted to devote myself towards. I've posted the first three chapters and have a back-log of chapters that are already written out in edited and rough-draft.
The story is an alternate universe where Equestria has been on the earth for decades, and so the greatest enjoyment I've had in working on this story and others in the same setting is building an entire world where politics, trade, technology and society has all been sent on a curveball, and then plunking myself down to write the life and times of just two characters in a unique position inside that world.
I drew heavy influence from science fiction in constructing various elements of the story's universe. So expect to see some nods towards Mirror's Edge, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Half-Life, Judge Dredd, Terminator and more.
I hope you all enjoy it, I certainly had fun making it, and will continue doing so.
Cheers, Westphalian_Musketeer
If for any reason you discontinue this one some day, I will make you tell me the ending even if I have to travel to Canada!
