Thank You, Really. · 5:25am Feb 16th, 2014

Dear Readers,

I want to thank you all so much for enjoying my work. But first, we're having Story Time with NARPy:

Okay, so like, I put up this story at around 11:30 PM yesterday, and I was kinda mad because I couldn't get it submitted in time for the Writer's Training Grounds deadline and I had to put up a kinda-crappy version of it on my DA account to make sure I actually ended up in the entries post on Friday, so I just went through the motions, putting it into whatever folders I felt it belonged in and making the blog post for all my followers and junk to see and ignore, and then I'm like "Okay, I'm done!" and I go to bed, right?

Then it's today, and I wake up in time to catch the new episode (and am I just crazy, or was Pinkie kind of a jerk in it?), and I'm like "Hm, I could check out how my story's doing... nah!" So I go off to a meeting, and I sort-of drive a robot for about ten seconds before something breaks and I'm out of a job, and then I get back home and I'm like, "What's this House of Cards thing on Netflix?" and then I'm just zoned out staring at my computer screen for about eight hours.

Then comes about fifteen minutes ago, when I finally decide to check up on FimFiction. So I click the link, and the homw page pops up, and I'm immediately bombarded with about 300 notifications, most of which are favorites, and then I notice that my story is in the second slot on the featured menu-thingy.

This is pretty much my initial reaction:

Once the shock wore off, though, I took a look at the stats, and the favorites, and the comments, and I got all upset with myself for making the ending confusing (really sorry about that, couldn't hold back the Spike/Rarity moments), and then I was like "But NARP, they like it!"

So yeah, thank you. It really makes me happy to see something I wrote be so well-liked. I also thought it was kind of neat to see two WTG entries right next to each other on the featured menu-thingy, both of which feature Celestia prominently.

Okay, that's all. Thanks again for reading. I'll just head on back to Netflix until the next prompt comes around...
