A Random Thought of No Immediate Pony-Related Bearing · 2:36am Feb 13th, 2014
This is something my brother and I were wondering about the other day.
Does anyone remember action-figure ads on TV as kids (like, during the 90's, say)? And they'd always have these toy block walls or stacks of crates or oil drums for the toy to break through or shoot missiles at? And there'd always be this disclaimer voice-over saying "blocks not included"? Well, we were wondering, why the hell weren't there blocks included? Not even with the Batmobile? Heck, why not sell "Block-Packs", or, like, an "Abandoned Warehouse Action Playset" full of blocks, or at least one action figure that came with a tonne of blocks? I mean, kids would have totally bought all that (or at least asked their parents for it). So why no blocks? Seriously, I want to know.
Rebuilding those block walls would have been hell. Like dominoes. An hour and a half of set up for thirty seconds of fun and twenty minute clean up.
This... is a valid question.
you know, I never thought about this before, but now that you mention it.......
