Where I've been and what I've been doing. · 4:44pm Feb 10th, 2014
Hey guys, it's Roadpony once more, here with yet another blogpost.
So I've been sitting about at my home for a while, being sad and depressed and everything. Just bogged down by lack of motivation and everything. Getting stressed out by assholes in Dark Souls, and just being sorry for myself when I wasn't taking steps to improve myself. I'd been unable to write anything in any way, shape, or form.
Every day, whenever I'd try to open up the next Chapter to CMoC and write, I'd just stare at the screen for the longest of times, before sighing and closing up, before looking at pictures of Cats on Imgur. This'd happen every day for the past... 8 or so months? I dunno, it's been a long time.
My point here, however, is not to bring you an excuse... but a little change in that.
This morning, I opened on up Cutie Marks of Chaos once more after talking with one of my friends. I sat on down, looking right at what I left last time I typed. A little sentence Dash was saying. I looked over it for a few minutes, before finally saying "This... seems too much like something a Flanderized Dash would say. I need to fix that."
And then I began to type.
And Type.
And Type.
I ended up typing about half a page before I realized that "HOLY CELESTIA'S SOLAR FLARING ORGASMS" I was writing again! After the longest mental block ever, I'm BACK, BITCHES!
And there was much rejoicing.
Writer's block is often a matter of inertia. An author in motion tends to stay in motion until acted upon by an outside force. You know, like needing to go to the bathroom.
Huzzah! I congratulate you on this achievement!
