I'm admin/co-owner of an art blog called Amateur Artists Unite. I felt you guys might want to know about this too.
It's third on the trending list and reached 120 members within 1 week. 
100 Art Contest
This will be a simple one round contest. Anybody can participate. All art styles and media's are accepted.
Specifications:
> Within 1600x1200 would be appropriate, although if you go bigger that's acceptable.
> Digital art and traditional media accepted. Colour, style and the general dynamics can vary as much as you wish.
> All pieces submitted will receive a review and a score system may possibly be implemented.
> For the sake of continuity, all images must be SFW. Nothing questionable either. 
>The deadline is: 16/02/14 11:30 In other words 2 weeks. Entries should be PMed to myself.
Now the important part. The topic.
Mane six, doing their job
Any member of the mane six doing there day-to-day job. For example; Rainbow Dash pushing a cloud around or Rarity sewing a dress.
This is a pilot so for now the top 3 receive special mentions. All art will be displayed in a gallery at the end, unless there is a decent case.
Finally 2 more judges are needed. They need to be impartial and will not be able to participate. Thank you for cooperation and good luck to everypony.

Last year I shot a walker with an air rifle from 300m.
It was the most upsetting experience of my life. I had to bandage up his bleeding leg while he repeatedly cursed me and tried to attack me. 
After I fixed up the bandage the medical service arrived. He didn't press charges (I could have been in a penitentiary for 2 months or something - I was let off with a warning and a thingy in my criminal record). I wrote to him every 3 day's while he was in hospital and visited him once a fortnight. He made a full recovery and we are good friends.
