After some good talks with Spike over some chocolate milk, still-ponified (much to his annoyance) Discord finally decided to give that spell Twilight asked him to help with in her absence a shot.

He also paid a visit to Cloudsdale with Rainbow Dash (much to her annoyance), and saw just how much the ponies' were willing to do to help eachother.

Meanwhile unbeknownst to them, the exact thing the princesses were worried about happened, something escaped Tartarus.

Hope you enjoy the chapter, and also the newest cliff hanger. We're getting near the end, so expect a couple of those as we race to the finish. This is another scene secret I've been just bursting to let y'all in on but that might cause a little controversy like ponifying Discord. I'd had the Smooze elected for the Calamarain expy parallel thingy pretty much since I came up with the idea to take the Deja Q plot as the basis for the fic. Originally I was trying to think of different magical creatures (because it would need to be a group that could form some sort of big menacing shape). I thought parasprites, pixies, doxies, those little tree things from Harry Potter that try to scratch your eyes out, but the Smooze was my best bet.

But I am pretty happy with how this chapter turned out, so read on and enjoy. ^
