Yes, the title is exactly what it sounds like. I'm putting all pony fanfics, until further notice, on hiatus. That further notice being the second week of May or so. If you saw my (very embarrassing) blog last night, you'll know why. This semester of college looks to be my most stressful yet, and writing pony fanfic at this time isn't, well, a good idea. I think people can understand that.
Fret not, however! This isn't necessarily a bad thing. See, I've proven before that my schedule really works...when I'm not a full time student. When I'm on break, I can easily write 2,000 words per day of each story, giving me an update each and every week. What this means is that if I wait until summer comes, I go from once chapter every two weeks to one chapter every week. With no other obligations over summer break, I'm not stressed out at all, but instead enjoy it as a high-intensity hobby. So, while you all will unfortunately have to wait, updates will resume this May once I'm out of school for the summer, and will be coming at you once a week all summer, save for one or two break weeks I give myself. This means you'll get from 12-13 chapters of each fic for the summer. If I did it every two weeks starting now, you would probably see maybe 10 new chapters by the end of the summer. So, a hiatus results in a net gain for you, the reader.
For me, this is probably the best deal. I'll be off of fanfic writing and able to write a real book for myself, and not put nearly as much pressure on as before. It also means I'll return to fanfic writing fresh and relaxed, with tons of new ideas! Most of the stories should be just about wrapped up by the end of August, and will close probably sometime in October due to resuming one chapter per week with school on in the fall.
Oh, I should mention, the one fic I won't put on hiatus is Reach. With this new system, Reach should be finished in the second week of February, with an epilogue coming shortly thereafter. Since that will be finished, you'll also have my new fic On Crimson Wings when I start back up in May. In addition to that, I'll be writing Fallout Equestria: Oblivion once I'm done with my novel, and that should finish in mid-July. Unlike the others, I won't post it until I'm done. Which is good, because then I can give updates every few days until it's all posted. Finally, the last fic in the Revelation According to ToixStory will take FoE Oblivion's spot and be completed probably around November.
So, there you have it. I'm taking a break, but will still give everyone a net gain on stories. And trust me, I need this. Also, I'll still be around Fimfic in the intervening time period. I'm a Pre-reader and Public Relations Princess for The Royal Guard, so I'll be active with them throughout the time period. So, there should be some blog posts related to them, along with a few blog posts for really good stories to recommend until I return. Hope that won't bug you all!
Anyway, I hope this is okay. All of you are very wonderful, and it is difficult for me to feel like I'm letting you all down. I hope with this summer I can make up the break, and that everyone will be okay with waiting until then. Thank you all so much for your support, and please have a wonderful day.
Oh, and to tide people over and since I'll have more time, I may send up a few one-shots and/or porn in the meantime. I've started writing some for real, so might as well practice, eh?
Do what ya gotta do, Toix.

I hope this is okay with you, since you follow all my stories. Though, like I said, me doubling up on writing in the summer because it's fun gives you a net gain of chapters in the end.
This sounds like a good idea, for the reasons you've given. :) Go get 'em!
Take all the time you need. Now, I can catch up on some of your stories too. (Cause I'm slow and lazy, lol)
Good for you.
1771746 Not a problem at all, my desire to read is much less important than you being able to focus properly on school.
May school not drive away your muse. But best of the year to you!
It's a good thing you're finally slowing down to focus on other priorities. Also, fan fiction and school? Not a good idea.
Oh, hey, you made an avatar out of that picture I sent you.
It's okay, Toix. Sometimes, you just really need to sit back and let a few things go off your plate.
Just please keep your sanity together. Panic attacks suck.
