What to expect in the Book 1 Remake · 4:53pm Jan 29th, 2014
Sup brahs? For those that have been waiting for the Book 1 Remake, and are wondering where it is, don't worry, I haven't forgotten about it, in fact, I got 7 chapters done, but I'm releasing the whole thing at once, so that's why I haven't updated it, and hopefully I can request the site admins to give me a fresh start for a fresh story by clearing all the ratings and comments, like retaking a test for example.
Anyways, I released a sneak peek of the first two chapters in the original Book 1 story at the bottom so you'll know what to expect. Anyways, here's what I'm planning to do for these stories: Chapters 1 and 2 are completely remade, with a little bit of recycled content, but new story, new content, cutaway gags, and a new song along with a new enemy. Chapter 3 is gonna remain the same, but the friendship lesson is different, and there's more stuff that Flare gets the CMCs to do; I'm moving the Unicorn Games chapter to chapter 9, so chapter 4 is different, chapter 4 is when Flare is going to meet Crystal Iceblast and Red Engineer, I thought they should be introduced a little earlier than this current Book 1. Chapter 5 has the same story, but different content, it starts off the same but now Fluttershy has a completely different reason for visiting Flare's house, since I'm trying to make the Mane Six more in character, I gotta give different reasons for them to be hanging with Flare, or requesting his assistance; also in the chapter, I added a story for Engie, Crystal, and Spike. Chapter 6 remains the same, but a little bit of content has changed, and Lyra and Bonnie are no longer in a relationship because, my opinion, I don't think they actually are, but they're good friends, best friends, but I'm leaving all the random background pony shippings out of this. Chapter 7 has the same story, but content changed; AppleJack is more in character, Big Mac talks less, the story makes sense now, and Crystal and Engie are added.
Chapter 8 is the chapter I'm currently working on; the story is going to remain the same, but Pinkie and Rainbow Dash are going to be more in character, and I'm going to be asking for help in Zecora's part. Chapter 9 is going to be the new Unicorn Games chapter, and instead of just Spike getting Flare prepared for it, Engie and Crystal join in, and Twilight and Rarity will be more in character; Aquatic Armor is still going to be met in this chapter, and there's still a Trixie bot. Chapter 10 is going to be the Wedding Captures chapter, but it's only going to be one part, it's shortened, and Flare's not going to be with the Mane Six as much, but it's still a story with Flare using his camera, and I'm taking the song in the end out; I was originally going to make that song a polka, but Flare doesn't discover polka until the Book 2 finale; also this chapter is when we meet Psyche Illution.
Chapter 11 is going to take place of Rainbow Crush, the chapter we meet Blaze Goldheart. Everything is going to remain the same, but with a bit of different content; the Princess For A Day chapter is going to be completely removed. Chapter 12 is still going to be the chapter of Pinkie Promise, and the story remains the same, but I'm still thinking if I should get the Noble Six to help her or not. Chapter 13 will take the place of Oh Baby, the chapter when the Mane Six gets turned into infants, and the Noble Six are the only ones to help them, but this time, they're going to be having a different to be turning into foals; since I didn't know Doctor Whooves that well and what he represented, Twilight is going to be using a spell that accidentally turns the Mane Six into infants, and this is the chapter that the Noble Six will form their group, and know their part of being backups to the Mane Six.
Chapter 14, I haven't decided yet; it's a tie between if I should keep the Hail to the Chief, Baby chapter in there, or should I put Just Mommy and Me in that spot; regardless, Hail to the Chief, Baby is going to remain the same, but the Mane Six is going to be replaced by the Noble Six, and instead of Chrysalis trying to get in Flare and Jeff's way for her own personal good, Dr. Swinebutt will be sending her (even though we don't know Swinebutt until Book 2). Chapters 15 and 16 will still be Flare Through Time, but instead of Flare and Spike following the Mane Six the whole time, this is going to be when they'll meet the Doctor, and meet some Doctor enemies, because expect something similar to that when I make Flare Through Time III in Book 3.
Chapter 17 will either have Hail to the Chief, Baby, or just Mommy and Me; Just Mommy and Me is going to be different, since it's not gonna be a story where we meet everypony's mom, we're only meeting Flare's mom, and how her relationship with Flare actually is; also the Mane Six is getting replaced by the Noble Six in here; the Child's Play is going to be moved; since I'm keeping Child's Play, maybe I'll put it here, and Child's Play is going to remain the same, but with a bit of different content. Chapter 18 will still be the chapter In Twilight's Hooves, and the story is remaining the same, but Spike is going be going with the disguised Flare, and the rap battle is going to be replaced with something else. Chapter 19 will still be the Royal Pizza Inspection chapter, and the story will stay the same, but the Mane Six will be replaced with the Noble Six. Chapter 20 is where Rainbow Crush originally took place, but I'm thinking of adding a completely new chapter there, most likely for Engie. Chapter 21 is where Oh Baby used to be, so I'll be making a new chapter here as well. Chapter 22's Family Feud chapter is going to be completely removed, but maybe recycled as a cutaway gag, and most likely a new chapter here.
Chapters 23-26 are going to stay, but I'm removing the song in the beginning of chapter 26 since that song belongs to a different part of the fandom. Chapter 27's Family Feud chapter is going to be replaced. Chapter 28's story is staying, but I'm going to be making the Mane Six more in character. And finally, the finale is going to remain the same.
I may need some help on this. I'll need some beta readers, and some cutaway gag ideas. I REALLY NEED those cutaway gag ideas if I'm going to be finishing this in a good time. If you have any questions at all, please PM me, and I'll listen to any suggestions you may have. Thanks a bunch! Brohoof! /)
