If you recall Digi-Mon they used what looks like a smart phone?
What if there was a smiliar device, but on the other side of the gate, there are ponies? The first time you enter, you'd end up in Ponyville. Where you ended up next time, was a choice between Ponyville, and where you last 'saved' your position. Ofhorse, here's the catch, what if they was to enter your home, next time, possinly just as a surprice or a prank? All the Mane Six are in there. Numerous other villages, are in town.
It'd be a Crossover / Alternative Univers scene. Some shipping thrown in, since it was the intent of the original game?
Now you're wondering where all the characters fit in, right. What'd Zecora do, since she's a Zebra and al? If Dinkie Hooves is in the game, where does this leave the story?
As for the OCs, I'd have them paired up with the Mane Six, in the manner similiar to what was in Digi-Mon. That's also where the Humans come in. Not Human Humans, but 'Digi-Humans', if this explain anything here? Ofhorse, this only leads to new questions. I'm not sure where to take it all just yet, but I'm develloping it as I go.
There will be some explanation to all the other characters I'm slipping in along with the story.
