Everything Is Going to Be Okay

The page stretches out before me. White, endless, empty. A cursor blinks, over and over, restless and waiting and unsatisfied. I want to write. I have to write. I can’t write. I wait for words to come and they don’t. It’s been a long time since they last stopped coming. I hoped they wouldn’t leave again. I hoped I’d keep them rolling, keep the gears turning, keep the words spilling forth like

OriginalPun/10

I don’t usually do this blog thing, but I felt like this merited some sort of acknowledgement. Tomorrow brings the last chapter of “Diaries of The Mare In The Moon”, and it’s been a hell of a ride. For you guys it’s only been a month or so, but it’s taken me five months to the day to get to this point. Which is, you know, quite a long time. Sorry Idylia.

I want to thank everyone for the support; it’s a weird feeling knowing that after tomorrow the focal point of my creative efforts for the last half a year is going to be over. Done. Finito. But I hope that y’all enjoy reading the ending as much as I did writing it -- it’s going to be a blast.

I don’t know what’s coming next, but I want to do something ambitious again, maybe even more so. A story that I can look back on and go, yeah, that was pretty awesome. Perhaps not the writing, but at least the plot (no pun intended). Something that keeps me up at night because I’ve just had another flash of inspiration. Diaries gave me a lot of those moments, and I want to write something like that again. Unfortunately, even if I started tomorrow it would be a long way off for all of you. If there’s one thing I learned from the clusterfuck that was Corruption of Harmony, it’s that finishing the damn thing first is definitely the way to go.

So until then you can look forward to a variety of one-shots and other short stuff. I’d quite like to do a collab at some point, got a couple of ideas in that direction, but I’ve no idea who with. Just for the experience, I guess. Have to wait and see.

And if you’ve gotten this far, have a gif of Fluttershy being adorable that totally isn’t a hint about who’s in the next story I’m posting or anything. (It totally is)

Hugs and kisses,
Grimm

Been looking forward to the final chapter ever since you told me about it last Saturday (Sunday?) :derpytongue2:

Saddens me that such an awesome story must end, however it is a great read. Can't wait for whatever you come up with next.

Sorry to keep you waiting; not long left now!

"You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain." Better to finish it while the going's good and at the natural ending point than to keep it going indefinitely without progressing. I'm glad you're enjoying it, and I hope the grand finale lives up to expectations.

Glad to see you finished it up... It's the only story of yours that I still haven't read:twilightsheepish:. That Tragedy tag just scares the bejeezus out of me.:rainbowderp:

I understand the trepidation, but I gotta recommend that you at least give it a chance. :fluttershysad:

It's by far the story I'm the most proud of (trying not to sound like an arrogant arsehole here), and I'd love to see what you think of it. That being said, if you do check it out I'd stay well away from the comment section until you've finished. Spoilers, spoilers as far as the eye can see. :pinkiehappy:
