Sorry for the loooooooooooooong delay in updating. I’ll try to do better on the next installment.

Twilight’s dream was largely references to the Mysterious Mare Do Well, although I have since watched Power Ponies. This tells me that superheros are canon in canon.

The “Oh, but I will. You have already given yourself away.” part is inspired by the scene with Vizzini in The Princess Bride. I watched that scene I don’t know how many times while I waited in the wings for my cue to enter (at least nine times, ‘cause that’s how many performances we had).

It should be obvious who Twilight’s one true love is.

I totally came up with the Cinnabonbon joke on my own, although it wasn’t for this story. Naturally, I wasn’t the only one to have thought of it:

I also came up with Rarity’s Crab Shack on my own. Seriously, why else would she always be fighting giant crabs?

Rarity is a badass.

The Ponyazzo is a ponified Palazzo Casino. The falling topiary is somewhat inspired by the falling plant in The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

Marigold the Unicorn is a reference to the comic of the same name. Y’all should read it.

Rainbow’s an expert at crash landings, so it stands to reason she’d teach them to Twilight before a normal landing.

The “Detrot hoofball team” is obviously the Detroit Lions, who have now set a low bar that cannot be beaten until the NFL adds more games to the regular season.

Finally, I’d like to note that I didn’t make any peach jokes, as tempting as it was.

Since this seems to be the most commented on aspect of the story, I'd like to point out that Sweet Apple Acres does have a chicken coop

And we've seen a cock on the show--so they're canon.
