As for the game part, I would have to say Morrowind. As I killed the nice god in it, a message popped on my screen, saying that I broke the game by killing that character.

I don't tend to play games like that. I've played a couple, like Farenheit (Or Indigo Prophecy, depending on what part of the world you're in), but I prefer to play games that don't make me think about what I'm doing. Puzzle games exempt, I like those.
