See you all on the 16th! · 6:05am Jan 4th, 2014
I'm leaving tomorrow for Awesome Games Done Quick, and while I will technically be returning on the 15th, I will be DED! (spelled D-E-D for emphasis.) It's going to be tons of fun and I've mentioned many times on my blog that it is a charity event benefiting the Prevent Cancer Foundation. I hope that we can raise a bunch of money this year.
If you are interested in watching my participate my runs are as following:
Take note that the schedule is slightly fluid, games are scheduled on estimates and if we get far ahead of schedule (which happens regularly) we insert bonus games. This can lead to us being anywhere from 30-40 minutes ahead at random points, so if you want to tune into a specific game you need to tune in early.
-Mark of the Ninja on Thursday the 9th of January at 10am Eastern time.
Mark of the Ninja is honestly the best stealth game I've ever played and I will be glitching it right the hell out to complete it in under thirty minutes.
-Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm on brutal difficulty will be played on Thursday the 9th of January at 2:30pm Eastern time.
This one is a lot more well known. I'm aiming to complete this game in under four hours while playing on brutal difficulty, otherwise known as the computer cheats mode. There's a lot to say about this one, so I'll just keep it simple. There's some awesome prizes but of course, I need to remind you that you can win this amazing limited edition sculpture (long since sold out and generously donated by Blizzard) valued at around $1000 USD by donating during the PC games block.
This thing is amazing. The box is ~25 pounds and the statue itself is 18" tall. It's huge.
That about covers it for my participation, but the event is a week long and the stream will be going non-stop. Definitely tune in and check out some of the other stuff going on as it's a great cause. You can find the full schedule here in this nicely linked text.
I will see you all in a week and a half,
-Kal
I'm watching a speed runner? Straight baller. Gonna make sure to watch your runs in the archive once its posted. Internet is too unreliable for a stream of this magnitude so all I can do is wish you the best.
Have a great'un, mate! Be sure not to get hand burn from all the quick movements you'll be pulling off to speed run those games!
Thank god, you won't be running while I am progression raiding on WoW. Yay, that means I can donate and totally make an octavinyl reference (even if I ship the hell out of my OCs with Octavia and planning a Vinyl one!)!
GOOD LUCK KALLY! I'll be watching your runs for sure!
