I'm pretty sure you're all gonna hate me, but please don't kill me! · 2:52pm Dec 19th, 2013

OMG, it's taking you forever to update, Rob, wtf are you doing over there!?

Sorry! I'm so sorry, but somethin' like six months ago, I decided that I needed to split the Starlight and Dashaloo plotlines into separate stories for various reasons. Mostly because I really didn't know quite how to handle putting them together without their feelz overshadowing each other. I didn't know how to balance it.

However, Iv'e learned a lot in six months and I want this story to be amazing. Right now, it isn't living up to my standards. The side story is so confusing that it's just obnoxious, and while everything would be explained in Starlight, I realize that it really detracts from what I am trying to do here by keeping the two stories separate.

Solution! Combine them back together. Starlight is going away entirely, and I am going to stick with a full integration between the two plotlines into Dashaloo. This actually works out better, since in my plans the early feelz from Starlight will make up for the Dashaloo lull early on, and the later build up of the Starlight plotline will add a lot more suspense to the overall story.

But, Rob, why would we hate your for that?

Eheheh...eheheheh...uhh, yeah, about that... It means that I am going to be changing a lot in the story. Early on chapters are going to get an overhaul, new chapters will be added throughout, and intense integration will be happening. The whole story is about to evolve into something else entirely. My current story telling abilities are way better than when I started this episode, so hopefully this is a good thing.

Why would you do that! You crazy bastard, I don't want to have to reread all this!

Hay, don't judge me! I'm literally committing to like five more months worth of work here! Writing is an art, and story creation isn't a linear process. There are layers to stories, like layers in pictures. Artists create the line art, layer over the coloring, and then another layer for shading. Some pictures have hundreds of layers before the artist is happy. The base of Dashaloo is there. Now I'm going in to add the complexity, a lot more feelz, and shade in the suspense.

I'm sorry! But I don't want to leave the story half assed. I know I can do better, and even if you like it as is, I'm hoping you'll absolutely love it when I'm finished. The ending is giving me a huge amount of trouble too. If I do it one way, it's epic, but I spoil the Starlight ending. If I do it another way, Dashaloo's ending feels incomplete and Blah... NO! This ending will be freakin' epic. I dont care if I gotta shed blood over a pentagram and kick a demons ass for inspiration, I'ma pour my heart and soul into it!

Okay, I'm done, you all may commence stabbing now. T.T

I won't stab you. I only love stab my brother. But I will say that if it'd make the story better. Then it's for the best. I can't wait to see how you combine and integrate the stories.

1624034 Oh dude... I had to limit a lot of the chapters because they would reveal too much about the Starlight plot.

I finally asked the question: Why am I spending all my time dancing around limitations? It really killed my story flow. The bonus is that I learned a heck of a lot from this blunder.

I'm about to take all my limiters off, and go super saiyan three on this fic. :rainbowdetermined2:

:raritystarry: Super sayjin 3? That's almost as awesome as 4. But not as BAMF as 5.

Are you going to restart the story as a whole? Or are you going to go back and edit chapter?

1624049 I haven't reached four or five yet, give me time!:twilightoops:

I am adding chapters, integrating what I already have for Starlight, and I will be adding to current chapters. All those blah feeling chapters in the middle of Dashaloo are going to get overhauled, and the Starlight plot will be heavily integrated into them. Also, we get to find out why every time we see Celestia, she's sitting in the garden sipping tea.

That'd be good. So what chapters have you finished up so far? And are you going to make blogs saying when you finish a chapter?

1624064 Yes I will keep everyone up to date. Right now I am currently rereading through the story. I have the Starlight completed chapters sitting off to the side, and I am trying to find the best place to fit them in. Though a lot of it will be done in flashbacks while Twilight does what Twilight is doing. :trixieshiftleft::trixieshiftright:

I only stopped working on the ending a couple days ago. I couldn't find one that made me happy and met all my criteria WITHOUT breaking the other story. I can't reveal everything at the end of Dashaloo, it makes reading Starlight pointless.

Right now, nothings complete. I have a thousand piece puzzle sitting in front of me, and only the borders are in place. Now comes the hard part.

I will blog every time I update a chapter, and you will get auto notified when I post new ones. Right now I am planning out a new chapter one, and shifting things around from chapter three and on. I will be updating more frequently, now that the major confusion is going to be cleared up, and I won't have limitations anymore.

So should I not read the third story now and wait until you change the other two?

1624623 The first two stories are solid, I'm only changing Wonderbolt Flight Training.

Oh! Okay! I can wait then! 1625245
