Woohoo, let's hear it for the longest chapter yet! :P
Believe it or not, it might actually get longer if my PR and I decide to add some things I was thinking about. I'm concerned with the pacing of this chapter, but I am ever-so-glad to see it finally posted.
This entire chapter has been (in some form) in the mix from the beginning, and a good chunk of each scene was in my NaNo last year (2012). There is a scene in Deja Q that I love which I call '10 chocolate sundaes' wherin Q and Data go to the bar on the Enterprise and he orders a bunch of sundaes and they chat. I have been sitting on this scene that pays homage to that scene for a while now, and I can even remember writing the start of it during a Word War. (Obligatory Thor reference added back then as well, although that's not my only Marvel universe reference in this fic. ;)
I hope you all enjoyed the chapter, we're getting to the fun stuff now, and by fun I mean a good chunk of the stuff I have been sitting on waiting for you to see.
Also hope the introduction of yet more headcanon with the Statera Equus and Cadance's powers didn't feel wedged in there. Sometimes when writers bring stuff like that up late in a story it's setting up things for later. As we have questions answered, we need new ones to carry us over to the next book (or fic).
