My level of disappointment in this notice is zero.

Well, this is exciting.
I was very happy with the way the story ended, but I'm sure this expansion will be great. After all, the original ending was extremely open and rather ambiguous, so there was a lot of room to expand.
An expansion, huH? This sounds very promising, and interesting, as this is one of my fave fics. Can't wait to read it!
