Scootaloo's House · 6:30pm Dec 14th, 2013
Warning: Minor spoilers from the latest episode, Flight to the Finish, abound. Proceed with caution.
I have a bit of a confession here: I was never fond of the idea of Scootaloo being homeless. It can make for some interesting stories, but in a close-knit community like Ponyville, it just didn't sound right to me.
Apparently, the writers share my sentiments, 'cause we finally got to see where Scoot lives. Well, at the very least, we saw her room. And honestly, I'm glad that this fan theory has finally been debunked. Scoot gets enough flak for being a late bloomer (e.g. this episode); I don't think she needs any more emotional baggage to be an interesting character. Like Rainbow Dash said, she's awesome just by being herself.
Now if only they'd show us her parents so that we can settle that silly debate once and for all...
I liked it that she's able to personalize her room a bit.
... I never noticed that she was in a house, I took it for granted that Scoots has a home
I totally agree about the orphan thing. It's a show for little girls, for Celestia's sake! I also don't like the chicken joke. That's just cruel.
1606107 Being a show for little girls is a bit of a cop-out. Darker themes are part of the show's canon. My objection to Scoot being an orphan is simply that unnecessary drama is unnecessary.
1606193 That too, but I like to stay in the show's target without the darker themes if at all possible. But that's just me.

Rainbow Dash poster=headcanon is now canon-canon. Huzzah and all that.
I wasn't fond of that idea, either.
