Village Removed from Conscious

I have deleted the chapter about the village and have changed the ending to the chapter: Summit. Basically, it just changes to nothing behind the gate but abandoned mining village, and the two fall asleep in a house. I have no idea what I was going towards with that village and I apologize, I must have been trying some way to be creative but in doing so I killed the idea of the story. I will return back to the original idea which will cause the story have end faster than before, as in less chapters and such. With what I have planned with it right now it might get a sequel, but I don't want to milk it and give it some BS idea like the village again. I apologize for it entirely, and hope I do not do something so irrational and confusing again.
