Finally Finished a Story and More. · 10:12pm Dec 10th, 2013
Well folks, I've finally finished writing a story. I'm happy, I'm stunned, I'm pissed and angry! For a brief hour or so last night, I was possessed by what seemed like the spirit of Edgar Allan Poe and I banged out 2,323 words in one night. Then I look at everything else that I've ever tried to finish and it's taken me seven years to only write half a chapter. SEVEN YEARS AND I HAVEN"T FINISHED ANY OF MY ORIGINAL PORJECTS! After nodding off to sleep and getting a surprise visit from my deceased idol, I finally figured out what has caused my seven year long block. It wasn't the fact that I couldn't write these out, I just lacked any real confidence in myself as a writer. My fear of failure and screwed up continuity ultimately did me in. Now that I've gotten something out, I fell like I can take on anything. WRITE ANY STORY I WANT! AND THAT"S WHAT I'M GONNA DO! FROM HERE ON OUT I AM GOING TO FINISH A STORY THAT I STARTED AND NOTHING'S GONNA STOP ME!
