Ponyville DxD - A Thank You · 7:58pm Dec 9th, 2013
So this post serves two purposes. First to see if this new story tagging feature actually works. Secondly I just wanted to give all the readers of Ponyville DxD a big thank you.
Now you might say it's the story that got the least recognition so far. Only 280 views and 50 likes. Those stats pale in comparison to Twilight Velvet's Creative Spark or some of my better one-shots.
On the other hand you could actually contend that it's my best story yet. The standard I want to achieve with every story is to have at maximum 10% dislikes compared to the number of likes. So if Velvet has 500 likes, I don't want it to get more than 50 dislikes if possible. And so far I've reached that standard with most of my stories. (The only exception being Time Reversal, which was more fun than serious anyway, so I can live with it.)
But from that perspective Ponyville DxD is my best work yet. 50 likes to 1 dislike. That's only 2%. It might only have a fraction of the readers my other stories had, but all of you seem to be enjoying the ride so far and that makes me extremely happy. (I knew from the start that the number of readers interested in such a story would be limited and I went ahead with it anyway.)
So I just wanted to say a big thanks to all of you who read, commented, liked and favourited Ponyville DxD. Even those of you who are still deciding whether you like it or not. It's really great to know that there's definitely people out there who want to see this story through to its conclusion, even if there's just about 50 of you.
And I give you my solemn promise that I will finish this story, even if it's the last thing I do!
As a little treat I'm gonna tell you right how the rest of the story will be structured, so you can look forward to it:
Life 2: Chaotic Training Camp From Hell
Life 3: The Fight to Determine the Strongest Little Sister Begins!
Life 4: Dragons of the Crimson Night
New Life: Epilogue
Life 2-4 will each consist of (probably) 5 parts just like the first one, with Life 2 being the training arc and 3+4 being the actual Rating Game. The epilogue will probably only be one chapter (perhaps 2 to mirror the prologue).
Now here's the kicker and a question I want to have answered by you. I'm thinking of slipping in an extra chapter of 'fanservice' between Life 2 and Life 3. It involves Rias and Akeno going to the Ponyville Spa and meeting either Fluttershy and Rarity or possibly Luna and Twilight in the sauna, with all the potential for mischief that entails. Do you want to see this happen, which combination of the ones I just mentioned would you prefer and how far would you want it to go?
Take your time in answering. There's still five chapters of Life 2 to write, before I make a final decision on this.

Make it happen, Luna and Twilight, and far enough that the dragonboy tears his hair out in frustration that he's nowhere near. I could easily see Twilight's curiosity about human anatomy make things quite fun.
The idea of the extra chapter sounds interesting and the the interactions will be funny to see. I'm up to see the extra chapter as well.
As a person who said he'd favorite it if he turned out to like it, honestly we should be thanking you. No, seriously, it's finally nice to see something that's an anime crossover that ISN'T Naruto/Bleach/One Piece/Attack On Titan/other mainstream animes, because that's all I ever hear about in that frieken anime crossover group (which sadly is the only anime group on this damn site).
P.S. Still upset its not based on the light novel and instead on the anime, but then again, all the fights would be done in about five seconds with devils winning, but on the plus side, we would also get to see Rossweisse and Ravel (possibly even Ophis!)
P.P.S. Totally unrelated to you but where's the announcement of a third season, damnit! I want to see Kuroka in anime form!

Yeah, they would have been seriously overpowered. And while I would have liked a chance to write Ravel or Rossweisse, as I've said in another comment, 21 characters is already a lot to juggle.
I'll make you a deal. One anime season equals two light novels. DxD currently has 16 volumes. So if MLP makes it past their eighth season, I'll write a rematch. You can hold me to that.
The extra chapter seems interesting, almost an OVA to the story, in the way my head sees it. Also, I really do love this story due to it I watched all of Highschool DxD and in an indirect way my now favorite anime, Freezing, so to all that I thank you and I will be continuing to read your works.
