Alternate Ending · 6:02pm May 1st, 2012
Expect one for At home on the range. Before I had decided on a sequel, I was going to end it in a rather sad manner. So be warned, readers. There is still but one optional update for you to read! The original, sad ending of At Home on The Range. think of it as an epilogue if I weren't continuing the premise. Anyway, I should have that past my pre-reader and posted here for man-tear extraction purposes. And now, for your viewing enjoyment, Dashie hides in your keyboard when you aren't looking!

And can't wait to read the alternate ending. My guess is that Big Mac originally dies, probably in the blimp crash.
Although, maybe thats a bit too sad...

94185 Nope, Mac doesn't die in the blimp crash. the rest of the story still stands, the ending will pickup after the train ride at the end. prolly should have included that in the blog.
Well if it makes me cry then I'll tell you that you are one of few who made me cry. It's not that I don't feel sad it just that it's hard to make me cry cuz of a sad fic

On one hoof I'm more than happy with the way the story ended but on the other I want to read more of it. If it means I'm going to cry I just don't know.
But...now I'm afraid to type...what if I strike the key she's under...
On topic: An optional ending, huh? I absolutely enjoyed the way you decided to end it, but maybe I'll give this sad ending a look over in the future.

NNNNope. Not gonna read. Don't get me wrong, I love your stories. SO much so, that I want to ask if you mind me using AHOTR as a backstory for my fic. Nothing major, just going to mention it in passing as when Dash and Mac got together.
Anywho, I never read sad/grimdark endings that authors make as an alternate to happy ship endings. Again, nothing personal, I just love happy endings.
*Sighs* I know I'm gonna regret reading it.
