Random Idea #83: Sword vs Gun fights (in visual media)

I had some shower thoughts after watching some various fight shows, specifically about choreography. So, I assume we’re all broadly familiar with sword fights.

Note that “gun” and “sword” here are simply shorthand for any ranged, projectile weapon and any melee weapon, punches and kicks included.

Idea #82: A random review of Cyberformula: Road to the Infinity 1 to 4

The audience for this game outside of Japan is probably in the low hundreds, but after binging the games for the past two weeks, I needed some way to organize my thoughts.

First of all, what is Cyberformula?

Bonus content to Idea #75: Worldbuilding

    Sonic Franchise
Seriously, how the hell did I forget about the franchise memetically associated with hundreds of fan OCs?
    1) Setting: Mobius and other various locales seem to imply a fairly Earth like world [1]
    2) Inhabitants: waves hand in the vague direction of sonic OCs [1]

Random Idea #81: Complaining about Scale in third person POV games

In most games at human-scale, and even car scale to a certain extent, the 3rd POV doesn’t greatly change how large things appear to be. Your avatar is still going to look small when standing next to a large truck. The game “It Takes Two” is a great example of this, since the characters are shrunk to the size of dolls and tossed into the insides of machines and snowglobes. A gear the size of a

Stanley and Elma · 7:54am Nov 12th, 2013

Two OC's I may eventually use

On the left is Sten "Stanley" Steel.
Chrysalis randomly kidnapped him and used his brain as a focus to control a prototype battle robot. To kill Twilight Sparkle in the past.

On the right is Elma Everfree Crystal Boreal
She is a Morphling, an invented species of mine. Long story short, they are genetic cousins of Changelings and have the ability to control which genes get expressed.

Uh....
No.
Due to convoluted reasons, Chrysalis was better at controlling live minds than robots, so she mind controlled a scientist and stuck Sten's brain into the prototype and lobbed him into the past to try and kill Twilight Sparkle a la Terminator style. Due to various shenanigans that will be off screen, Sten wakes up in the forest battered and clueless. He eventually figures out that he is (?) years in the past, and goes around trying to find out who did it in the first place. Along the way, he gets bored, especially during the night when nothing happens, and builds an apparatus to upgrade himself.

He has two shotgun slugs in each hoof, a weak laser diode in one eye, night vision in the other, flamethrowers in his mouth, a weapons rail on his barrel, and spikes dotted around his body for pointy body checking. He also built a workshop, and has a light machine gun, a automatic shotgun, a 10 mm grenade launcher, to be attached to the weapons rail. His hooves can also detach and operate like grappling hooks. His hooves have cube shaped grippers.
He also has a small pistol, a sawn off shotgun, a mortar, bolt action rifle. explosive tipped crossbow (for arcing shots)

This is beta, and not a complete representation of the final character design.
