Ding-dang Cliffhangers · 10:43pm Oct 5th, 2013
The major hazard:
Of writing and reading the sort of serial fiction this site abounds in is, of course, the ding-dang cliffhanger. The only thing worse, I'd have to say, than the two-week break between the cliffhanger at the end of Piefall's Act II, "Pie Another Day," and the beginning of Act III, "For Your Pies Only," will be the two-week break between the two cliffhangers that are scheduled to end Act III and the beginning of the story's final act, "The Pie Who Loved Me."
Ah, well.

Eh, as long as you don't poop out on the story and leave us with a permanent cliffhanger, I'll cope.

The only story I plan on not completing is the one they find my cold, dead body slumped over. And I'm hoping that's still a few years off.

Is there a difference between ding-dang cliffhangers and vanilla cliffhangers?

Personally:
I find all cliffhangers to be of the "ding-dang" variety, but then I never thought of them as having flavors before...

If I'd thought of it earlier, I could've had Pinkie playing her bagpipes to accompany Discord in his lederhosen yodeling from the roof of Ponyville Town Hall. But I suppose it wouldn't be sporting to go back and change that now.
