I am happy to report that Merchants of Hope 17 has been finished, and will be in Bad Pun's capable hooves when he gets back from work! With it's completion, I would also like to announce some news about the story. I was recently asked about the overall length Merchants of Hope would be by the time it was finished, and that was originally something I had planned to keep to myself. But the more and more I think about it, the more imperative it feels that you all have a right to know. With the original chapter length of 15k -18k I had planned, the story would be no more than 20 chapters. Seeing as the story is still the same, but the chapter sizes are smaller, that number went up to somewhere around 26 or 27 chapters, and ending it around 340k words in length.
So yes, if I stick to the plan of posting 2 chapters a month, Merchants of Hope will be finished in 5 months. This is of course barring writers block or real life activities that delay chapters. I have had this story all planned out since I started chapter 3, and I intend to finish it properly.
Now, for a bit of fun art! So Tinker Chromewire, author of Fallout: Equestria - Second Wind, has been talking to Bad Pun and I through skype for a while, and he told me he absolutely adores Brass Tacks. So we made the joke that Brass Tacks, being the smallest Steel Ranger to have ever lived, and his character Standtall Stillshot, being the largest, should totally be shipped together. The fruits of our discussion (pun intended) led Tinker to draw them up! You can find the result below!
