I've noticed that the 'Alex' of Nothing is Set in Stone/Alicorn Instinct/The Endless Nightmare cannot be causally traced to the 'Xander' hinted at in the "Diary Entries For The Future Story With Alex/Xander MAJOR SPOILERS!!!" blog that Luna seems to be in love with because of these two very important reasons:
1.) If he had been sent to the past mentioned in the "Diary Entries For The Future Story With Alex/Xander MAJOR SPOILERS!!!" blog prior to the events of The Endless Nightmare and then found his way back to the present (1000 years later), he would have remembered her.
2.) If he is sent to the past after the events of The Endless Nightmare, he would remember his experiences with her, and would refuse to interact with her out of fear and hatred, thus preventing Luna from falling in love with him and invalidating The Endless Nightmare.
—Ergo, the two 'Alexanders' are acausal to each other. 'Alex' was never and can never be 'Xander', while 'Xander' was never and can never be 'Alex'. Even with time traveling, it is impossible for 'Alex' and 'Xander' to be the same instance of 'Alexander' sent back and forth through time within a single linear timeline, so they must originate from of divergent alternate timelines. Although they have time travel magic in MLP, the timeline is strongly implied to be causally immutable—that is, going back in time cannot allow one to change the past, because one has already gone back in time according to causality. We were shown that Future Twilight could not alter the past by warning Past Twilight, and it was her traveling back in time that ensured the very events she sought to avoid would happen the way they did.
Well, it's not possible without utilizing cheap plot devices that handwave the issue away at least, such as inexplicably-convenient memory loss for 'Alex'... which would be blatantly bullshit, and you know it too. It's a lot like how the sudden inexplicable loss of the pre-established "magic nullification" attribute initially appears in The Endless Nightmare; it feels contrived solely for the sake of plot convenience, especially when I recall that 'Xander' retained "magic nullification" in the "Diary Entries For The Future Story With Alex/Xander MAJOR SPOILERS!!!" blog. I'll withhold judgment for now in the hope that you'll explain this inconsistency appropriately later through narrative... but just be aware that I might not be satisfied with your justification, especially if it seems contrived.

It's potentially a problem because the Luna in "Diary Entries For The Future Story With Alex/Xander MAJOR SPOILERS!!!" blog and The Endless Nightmare must originate from a timeline with 'Xander' in it, who—for the reasons explained above—logically cannot be the same individual as 'Alex' (without resorting to disrespectable bullshit plot devices), which means the Luna from Nothing is Set in Stone should not love a 'Xander' since he is a version of 'Alex' from another timeline, but it is implied by Celestia that she did in Alicorn Instinct... do you see how the timeline is knotted? 'Alex' was never and can never be 'Xander' in a closed linear timeline regardless of time travel because ultimately it is logically unsound causality.
Please address this issue.

And as much as i hate to shoot you down after that...Well Alex is Xander. I planned this one a while back and although I won't address it now, it will be...hinted at by the end of The Endless Nightmare.
Let's just say that forces greater then "Magic" are at work here. There are forces older and far more powerful then magic. And it's because of this that Alex...becomes Xander I suppose.
It's hard to fully explain without spoiling it, so I'd advice to be patient and hope that my reason makes sense. If you don't like it then fair play, no skin off my back. If you do then fantastic

You've implied that "were he completely immune to magic he could not have gotten to Equestria", but you have conveniently ignored any other possible "non-magical" phenomena hypothetically capable of such a thing that may or may not be known to the characters in the story, the author, and/or the readers. It's not valid logic. It's also an example of a "begging the question" fallacy; the first idea (he is not immune to magic) is true by saying the second idea (he was transported to Equestria) proves it, but the second idea can only be true if the first idea was already true to begin with!
