"Planet Hell" Delayed · 7:25am Aug 18th, 2013

Over the course of this summer I've completed most of the first draft of Book Two of the Cycle of Eternal Return, or as the project is called until I have a better title, "Planet Hell." Unfortunately, it's unrealistic that I'll be able to get the first draft completed by September, or that I'll even have it edited and polished up before the start of season four. It might be a while before I'll be ready to publish it on fimfic, but I can assure you all that book two will actually happen. It's much longer than Awakening and I'm just reaching the end of the second act of the story's hill. I've spent way too much time and energy on this project not to see it through to the end. Just be patient.
I can, however, reveal this much of the project: the tentative, WIP, and subject to a lot of change, long description.

The year is 10,056 After Celestia. Equestria has sunk beneath the ocean, and all forms of magic -- from cutie marks to pegasus flight -- have faded into myth and legend. The harmony that once bound the three pony tribes together in friendship is now challenged by interstellar war.
But amidst the backdrop of war, a pegasus name Thunder Gale goes to sleep every night and dreams of blue skies and endless winds, and of one day reuniting with his family and friends. His search has led him to a planet where the magic of Equestria hasn’t been lost to obscurity, and ancient evils roam the desert ruins unchallenged. Nothing is not what it seems, and in order to see his loved ones again, he will have to unravel a mystery much older than Equestria itself, and seek out guidance in the most unlikely place: the wings on his back. And soon they will set him free.
Not a crossover or an alternate universe. This is the far future, and all this will happen again.

Genre tags I know at least these three for sure: [Adventure] [Romance] [Sad] not sure yet if [Dark] applies. [Tragedy] might apply too. It's a little more adult, and darker, than Awakening. The second chapter in a series always is.
