Chapter 13 is finally out! · 12:31pm Aug 7th, 2013
So! After quite the extensive respite, Chapter 13 has been released!
I am sorry that it took so long, but I do hope you all are understanding. And on the plus side, I'm already 1.4k into chapter 14, so Huzzah's all around! Not to mention, Pridark over at Deviant art has finished the drawing's for both Longbow and Carlotta, and I have put up a picture of the whole MoH crew on the title page! I cannot state enough how awesome of an artist she is, not to mention the turn around times for the commissions are phenomenal! Go get one. NOW.
Anywho, I'm also announcing that after Chapter 15, I will be taking a small break (I hope) and may try my hoof at starting to write another story. This story would likely have extremely short chapters of 4-5k per piece, and would take a back seat to MoH. It would also take place in the Fo:E, so anypony curious if I was going to try a different genre, sorry to disappoint you. So yeah, look out for that sometime after Chapter 15 is released!

Well, he is really good at fixing pretty much anything, so his cutie mark is a set of gears. And Gear Backlash is something you strive to fix in any sort of machinery.

But naming has to be the hardest thing about writing. I never expected to have to name SO MANY PONIES. And like you said, the names have to do with what they are good at, and if the character interacts with them at all, then you need a cutie mark for them that matches the name that says what they are good at! It's enough to make me want to scream sometimes!

But yeah, naming is possibly the hardest thing about writing for the simple fat that every name needs to make sense for multiple reasons

That's why I'm glad to be writing for a griffon! Less importance on the cutie mark, since it's not part of their heritage.
