It is with deepest regret to inform my readers that I will have to discontinue Unity. Apparently, someone decided it had way too many references to Rangers Apprentice, and thus reported it. Never fear, however! I still have the basic design and concept behind the tale, and I shall be polishing it to release at a later date-- without the heavy references to Ranger's Apprentice. In other news, next chapter of Unity will be up soon, and I have a new story just submitted:

You sure you don't mean Valkyrie? Otherwise, if Unity is going to be discontinued why is it going to be updated soon?
(Working on the assumption that you meant Valkyrie) Valkyrie certainly had a lot of stuff similar to Ranger's Apprentice, but It certainly wasn't the same. Sure, complaining about how similar it was might make some sense, but to report it? That's entirely different, and it seemed to be going in a different enough direction to differentiate it. "Orphan chosen for a special role" isn't exactly an uncommon start to stories.
I never even read Ranger's Aprentice. Oh well, if you want some help on it, just ask. I'm sure Journeyman would help too.

I fail to see any major references to Ranger's Apprentice in Unity. I haven't gotten around to reading Valkyrie, so I assume you mean that instead. But reference should be fine. I highly doubt you are plagiarizing it. I think there were just some trolls, and that if you explain it to a mod, they'll let you continue.

And while I'm sad to see both go, I will look forward to see the new version of it. I think it'd only take me a few minutes to come up with a premise that would work roughly the same, but still be different enough that people won't get butthurt.
And, well, it'll only take me (a mediocre writer) a few minutes to come up with something passable... I wonder what you'll come up with
